This is old news, but I found it to be pertinent to the discussion of DNA testing/database.
Geneticists have been asked to study the DNA of Adam Lanza. The study, which experts believe may be the first of its kind, is expected to be looking for abnormalities or mutations in Lanza's DNA.
Connecticut Medical Examiner H. Wayne Carver has reached out to University of Connecticut's geneticists to conduct the study.
University of Connecticut spokesperson Tom Green says Carver "has asked for help from our department of genetics" and they are "willing to give any assistance they can."

Now here is an excerpt from the CNN article, The government has your baby's DNA
"I don't have a problem with the testing, but I wish they'd asked us first," she says.
Since health insurance paid for xxx's genetic screening, her positive test for a cystic fibrosis gene is now on the record with her insurance company, and the Browns are concerned this could hurt her in the future.
"It's really a black mark against her, and there's nothing we can do to get it off there," xxx says. "And let's say in the future they can test for a gene for schizophrenia or manic-depression and your baby tests positive -- that would be on there, too."
What if you, or your child's DNA tests posotive for the same abnormal/mutated gene, as a
"mass shooter?" -- that would be on there, too.
Something to ponder... while getting swabbed for your government mandated health insurance
