As you might have guessed, GOP in House is ready to kill it..
Nor should it. It will definitely kill off small business at the very time that we need every one of them to succeed if at all possible.
There are currently 10,000 tax zones, all at different rates in the US. Collecting and filing these sales taxes would be a complete nightmare.
Not to mention that I still do understand this claim that its fairer for B&M stores.
I have no advantage over a B&M store located in the same state as I am. I collect and remit tax to State of NY just as they do.
B&M stores do not have to collect out-of-state sales tax from out-of-state shoppers. To be completely fair, they should have to check each shopper's id and make sure the state of residence gets their sales tax. Its only "fair" that they have to do this if I have to file 46 sales tax returns.
And 1m may sound like a lot, but considering that average profit margin for online retailers is single digit number ....
I am not for giving government another revenue stream so they can go and spend it on entitlements.
We are taxed enough already....

I've never seen a B&M store NOT collect sales taxes on a sale. Unless the buyer has a certificate of exemption.
But if I go into a store in any state, I expect that sales tax is charged. And rightfully so, as the interstate commerce exclusion is for sales made to states where the seller does NOT have a physical presence.
But if I'm standing in their store in NYC...I will pay the NY and NYC sales taxes. Even though I reside in Illinois.
And as another sidebar...some jackasses are suggesting that the remitter will have the responsibility of withholding at not only the State level...but all other taxing jurisdictions. That doesn't happen now...nor will it happen ever. It is the various State's responsibility to disseminate the sales taxes to those other jurisdictions....depending on where those taxable receipts came from.

I had forgotten all about the Bulls playing last night.
I hate to put the kiss of death on the Hawks, but I put a bet on them last night, just to make sure I didn't forget, but I just looked at the lines and it looks like I screwed myself on the odds. I got the hawks at -1 1/2 +195 last night, and the line has moved to +210 on the puck line today, so I guess I my payoff would be an extra hundred bucks or so if I had waited, AND the Hawks cover of course. I guess it doesn't matter what the odds are when you lose.
I am not feeling too sorry for myself though the Braves and the Diamondbacks came through for me, enough to book a few hours with Taylor if I ever lose my mind and my standards. lol
I'd even be willing to share with him our little secrets here if anyone will take Dunn's contract and his .134 average and gazillion strikeouts.
You gotta figure that most baseball teams will win 1/3...lose 1/3 and the entire difference is what they do with that last third. The Sox and Cubs may lose a combined 200 this year. If you get to ChiTown we should do a walking tour of Wrigley and see if there is any talent hidden away.

It wouldn't surprise me to see an opening period of 2-0 or even 3-0 and have them cruise for the rest of the game after losing their last outing.
I see Atlanta comes to town in September for one of the last series of the year, which could be good if Atlanta is fighting for the division which is more likely than not. Or I could come when you play Houston next month in a series you actually should win. I've never been to your south side park and I see the Braves will be there in July followed by Detroit. That could be a very ugly week for the Chi Sox, and I could actually get a Miller lite at that park. lol

So the good new is that the first 3,000 paid for the Atlanta games receive the Gambler/Steele bobblehead dolls that just say "you're an asshole" back and forth.
The bad news is that the Sox will have canceled the season as Reinsdorf realized that with less than half a million paid he gets a nice rebate from the State for his building. Too bad...September would have been the Adam Dunn bobblehead doll that swings and misses...at everything.
But we can take in an inspirational speaking engagement from Derrick Rose on how to become a highly paid cheerleader. So simple...anyone can do it. I think thousands are lining up for this engagement.
July is nice in Chicago if memory serves me right. It shouldn't even cost me a penny. All I have to do is put about 5 grand on the series for the Braves to win, followed by another 5 grand on the Tigers to do the same and I can have a fun week all paid for by the Chi Sox, sounds like a plan
