A FAQ isn't a bad idea... in the meantime, I'll give you my two cents on your four questions.
1. While not necessarily so, most PSE's don't watch the clock when they're booking directly; when touring with an agency, they have to, since the agency will call at one hour on the dot. The exception to the rule is when it's a very popular lady who gets a lot of bookings. One way to try to avoid being rushed is to try to book her last appointment of the day, but this can also backfire. First of all, rip-off artists usually want as late an appointment as they can get, since there are less likely to be a lot of people milling around the halls and lobby, so if you ask, it might make her a little uneasy... The other drawback is she might have seen 5, 6 or more guys that day, and by the time you get there she's dog tired. Very early appointments can work as well... ask the girl if she's a morning person or a late-night person.
2. The better reviewed ladies are pretty consistant in their performance... not that YMMV doesn't enter into the picture, but if you treat them like ladies and show respect, they'll usually give you 110%. I'm convinced that in most cases if guys get mediocre service when the lady is generally reviewed well, is their own fault... Either their hygene was poor or they acted like assholes. Here's a hint that I've gotten from a LOT of providers... Even though you're spending a lot of money for her time, take a few moments to chat and get to know one another... it'll pay off in the long run.
3. Although financially I can't always manage it, I prefer multi-hour appointments... Once again, you have more time to get aquainted, and that sometimes helps you to "click" with her. Plus the extra time lets you relax and enjoy the experience rather than rushing to make sure you get your second or third pop in. Of course, I'm not as young as I used to be, and my recovery time has gotten longer, so that makes a big difference to me.
4. It's been MY experience that the more mature PSE's usually give better service. For one thing, they come from a time when there were a lot less women in the business, most of the films were features with makeup and hot outfits, and they were true porn Legends, not just a girl who's done a few XXX videos. So they know the image they projected in their videos and try to look the same way during a fan meeting and they also try to live up to their video performance as well. Many of the younger PSE's, no offense to them, never experienced that - they've done gonzo or cheapie vid's without the hoopla of a feature video and all it's trappings. So they answer the door in jeans and T-shirts, little or no makeup on, hair combed but unstyled, etc. I've actually had a PSE open her door and for a moment I wasn't sure if it was the same girl I'd seen in the video. Plus, some (not all) have the "I'm young and I'm hot looking - I don't have to live up to my video persona: It's enough that I'm spending time with this guy" attitude. I'm generalizing here, of course; there are exceptions to every rule, but look at some of the highest rated ladies... Kathy Willets, Anna Malle, Taylor Wayne, Keisha, and of course my buddy Nikki Diamond... all over thirty (sorry ladies), and absolutely incredible - read their reviews. Kathy and Taylor have both told me it takes them at least an hour to prepare for a "date", and I've sat and watched Nikki spend 45 minutes just putting makeup on for a meeting, then take another 20 minutes deciding which outfit to wear. I'm not trying to slight the Miko Lee's and Sara Jay's of the "younger set"; also fantastic PSE's, but they're the exception to the general rule, in my opinion.

I'm brand new to this board and site. I've been reading the archives - all the messages back to inception (and thanks to whomever decided to keep them.) I've learned quite a bit.
Perhaps one or more of the regulars could collaberate on an FAQ for the whole PSE scene, especially for newbies. For example, some things I've learned are:
1) Go direct if at all possible. But my experience with non-PSE's is that agency girls are clock-watchers while independents usually aren't. Is that true when it's the same girl but based on how you contacted her?
2) If you really comb the boards you can get good information on service and attitude. But how much is YMMV and how much is when you pay Cadillac prices, you expect Cadillac service?
3) How much difference is there between a 1-hour and 2-hour session? For many of us, 1 hour with a porn star is more than we'd spend on a half-dozen local talents.
4) Many of the talents offering services are a bit older than the average current porn performer. How are the more mature ladies different than the newcomers? (In my case, they start getting over the hill at 21, but no one every said my tastes were normal. Bring'em Very Young please!)
Perhaps TER would create a separate FAQ for PSE's. Poppa and others, take the plunge and earn our undying gratitude?
