For people with experience, it must feel unpleasant, almost like being called lazy or stupid.

I wouldn't put too much weight on it. They say, "It's not what's said, it's how it's said." My spin on that is, "It's not what is said, but who is saying it."  

If it's just a few pests who keep telling you over and over again, and you don't like it, block em lol.
