I understand that in CA the legal age of sexual consent is 18 YO. I was on an old website and it said that in New Mexico it was 16YO is this true? Im not looking to score with someone that you, I was just surprised. Is this true?

It varies from state to state, and also depends on the situation between the two people.  I think in CA a 14 YO can consent, if they are married to the other person (the 14 YO could get married only with parental consent).  I could be remembering that wrong though.

Here in North Carolina I think it's 16.  Pretty sure it's 17 in VA.

Thats just freaky to me. I have a hard time imagining my 14 yo daughter just going out and having sex legally as an adult. Shit that really bugs me.

In Arkansas there is no legal age of consent for a female as long as she is married to her brother, father, cousin or uncle.
