If you are new I would suggest you google, The Lifestyle, Lifestyle Clubs and Swingers. Read the faqs.
A few things you may want to consider:

The ladies control everything. If they decide you are going to play, you will have a good time. If they don't want to you won't.
They can tell if a lady has been pressured into it and will avoid that couple.
This is as much a social event as it is a sexual one. We have attended clubs, didn't click with anyone, and went home, or got phone numbers to meet in the future. A good motto is, "no assumptions, no expectations." Or two hours later you have a six couple group event going on. You just don't know.
Clubs have different entry policies. Some want to interview the new couples, others don't care. Some are couples only, some will let single guys in. Single females looking for a couple are know as "Unicorns." Kind of hard to find.

As for a provider, some clubs do not allow paid companions. There are a number of reasons why. A lot of lifestyle ladies would want no part of a couple that included a provider. If your stories don't jive, they will notice.
Don't forget someone's cash register will be ringing every hour or what ever arrangement you make before hand.

I have never taken a provider so this is an observation of another couple we saw at Desire in Mexico. She was a provider who thought that this was a trip with the guy for five nights. He thought she would be his entry to many other couples. They had a meltdown on their second night. It wasn't pretty. Make sure your expectations are synced and you are in 100% agreement on what will go on.

Hope this helps.
