In this front page I see providers being called bitches...liar...cunts..etc.

And then providers whinning and bitching about reviews...begging for business...

Yes we have had some train wreck post lately.  Yes often post, especially from allias handles, have a degree of nastiness to them.  But as I have learned from my own experience telling the world to fuck off generally does not help situation.  Additionally, some train wrecks reall are outcome of the poster not understanding nuances of board, and with help (some nicely offered, some more direct) the member can recieve guidance on how to proceed

TER is a boys club.  Simply put,it was created to protect buyers from the crap ladies used to pull, and at times still do.  Certain events demand market recognition, especially NSNC (while I may have different tolerance I limited situations, I am appalled at it's frequency lately).  yes the consistency and standards can vary from guy to guy, but I know many people leverage the total system very successfully.

TER can help or hurt ladies with it's availability to offer ads, reviews, and post.  But at end of day,it is for the boys.  No matter what, most memory is fleeting and everything gets forgotten by page 3.

I read your post and my basic reaction is " this helps the group how?". It does no good to complain unless you attempt to
make it better.  What improvement are you offering?  Or have you just thrown in the towel?

Maybe if the mods would step up and do their jobs and regulate the crap, and make it known that this is not a place for that type of posting, as several of the past mods have done over the past 4 yrs I've been here.
Lately, LP and DD seem to have no real concern for the board here, except to delete the positive comments on photo threads, and allow anyone who wants to to post any rude, DISRESPECTFUL, vilifying, personal-serving comments any time they want with no real repercussions. LP even said in a thread that he would allow anyone to make an ass of themselves when they post like that--where's the 'moderating' in that?
The Admin says they like to have mods from outside the cities they mod for, but what purpose would that serve, other than allowing these clowns to let a city's site become a cesspool of animosity, childish behavior, rude and disrespectful postings that make it a place no one wants to visit. Are the Vegas and Florida sites like this?  As long as someone outside our city is running our boards, we have no power to clean them up!

It's not the job of a moderator to disguise assholes as decent people.  Any participant here has the right to speak their peace, within my (and DD's) interpretation of TER guidelines.  If someone makes an ass of themselves and another party decides not to see them, would something be served by withholding that information from others.

You seem to think that this board should be all polite speech and smiles.  If a lady NCNS, should we prevent that news for fear of offending the poor girl?  If a guy misbehaves, should we not let a provider know because he might be upset?  This board is about the exchange of information, not about making people want to hold hands.

Let me clarify my earlier post.... a ncns shows lack of respect for the client likewise if the client does same to provider. If someone has no repsect for the other then they should called out for it period. I for one respect the ladies who conduct themselves in a professional manner because its a hard fucking job. No one here is any better than anyone else to start with but how the are seen after being here awhile is by he or she's own doing.

My guess is that you're not unlike anyone else who complains about the tenor of a board and goes straight to blaming others.

If we allow people to show themselves for what they are.....we have no "concern".
If we let only the nice Disneyland, kumbaya posts through....we're censoring.

You're no different that many others who have complained about the board.
A quick search of your posts shows that:
1. You offer little to nothing as far as starting topics or posts with fun or interesting themes
2. You can call people names and attack...when it suits YOUR purpose.

I suppose, like so many others, that you'd like us to selectively choose what sees the light of day....to suit your purposes, needs, and idea of what the board should be.
Well I didn't get that memo from you with notes as to exactly what you'd like. I'll check with LP and see if he has it.

To answer one of your questions.....No....some other boards are not like this one at all.
I said it when I started here....I'll say it always....it's the PEOPLE who make a board....not the ones who keep out Russian spam, viagra ads, and personal information.

When has the ATL board NOT been a hotbed, with more train wrecks per month than almost any other board? Feel free to look. I did.

If anyone doesn't like how things are....they are more than welcome to pull up their big boy pants, or big girl panties, and TAKE PART to change it.

Or....just keep complaining and blaming the mod(s) du jour.

But board posting rules imply a certain level of respect for posting comments and have relevance to the discussion.  Yet we can have some threads go quite long and get very nasty, often using an alias handle.

So as mods, you must exercise judgement on when to intervene and manage the zoo.  Not an easy task, and I have had several offline discussions with LP, DL, GAG, and others on when that line gets crossed.  Your roll gets very grey and I honestly think I would be too heavy handed were I in your place. Some day I want to try it, but in reality, probably not.

So let's recognize that there is a boundary on what is acceptable, and your judgement determines what is acceptable.  If I or anyone wants to redefine the judgement precedent, we need to step up, volunteer, deal with all your other crap and give back to the board.  If we will not contribute to the solution, and define the line by application of judgement, we need to shut the fuck up unless you are REALLY out of line

My opinion, and while not disagreeing with either of you, there is possibly some merit in the responder's position

Hey jojo,  I haven't seen any posts here in a while that seemed to warrant any action by the mods.  Granted the comments are taking on a new and imho a refreshing content that gets right to the point as brutal as it may be.  There are a number of topics that have been treated with kid gloves for far too long and I think its about time we dump political correctness, white knighting, and shyness so that we get the real opinions out there as well as the discussions, if any, about them.  It's a shame however, that there is a noticeable absence by many to take responsibility for their actions and acknowledge their desire to fix the issues that they have caused.

My observation is that a sizeable number of gents have come to realize that they are being taken for an unfriendly ride.  Their pent up anger once they accept that is beginning to show in the blunt comments you're seeing from time to time.  There are still a few white knights lurking about who will always be first to jump in and defend the undefensible, but even their numbers are dwindling as reality sets in.  When faced with a considerable number of providers with unjustifiable rates, unreliable service, growing ncns events, and a general "fuck off if you don't like it" attitude, it was just a matter of time before the silent majority suddenly starts to become a lot more vocal.

You may not like the growing discontent in the postings of late, but the message being broadcast seems to be more accurate than you acknowledge.  The smart provider is the one who listens to customers and adjusts accordingly.  The dumb ones are going to argue with customers until they aren't customers anymore.

If you expect to be treated with respect, all you need to do is show a bit of class, and appreciation.  Caylee's post above is a perfect example of the right way to win the heart of this community, Addison and Amber are examples of how not to.

Hey since you've figured out that being a part of the ter community doesn't do anything for you or, in your words, "ANY" girl, maybe this is a good time for you and all those other ladies that PM'd you with their strong support for your comments to immediately send your request to Admin and have yourselves delisted from TER.  Go ahead and delete your ad posts, save whatever emails you wish to keep and then delete all your PM's .  Finally, don't forget to remove the ter banner and links from your personal websites.  I think that would probably take care of you having to deal with any ter involvement since it does nothing for you anyway, as you stated.

Just trying to help you implement the feelings you expressed.

You probably had some valid points (name calling etc is silly here IMO) but your style of doing it was way off. You only sank to the levels you are trying to stand up to.

You say this board gives you no buisness?  Mostly true.. But without reviews, you have no buisness. Thats for sure! Participation here doesnt really matter as long as you have good reviews. So if you dont like the way this board is going then dont participate, just concentrate on maintaining a great review history and Leave the board alone.. Making complaints about something that doesnt affect you makes no sense. It just aggravates those that Do like the board and leads nowhere.
