i think that was more the etiquette of the old days.....now a days, if i drop a bill on a show like "O" theres no way im fuckn tipping....thats a 100 dollar show a peice....when they had Enter the Night at the Stardust, id get executive vip seats, which you would pay more for, so i wasn't tipping....the Follies, again, asighned seating, why tip, no one's gonna spit in your drink if you dont tip....but it all depends, like maybe if you go see Debbie Reynolds, that might be a tipping situation, but i dont know, not my type of show, but i do know its a more intament situation....good luck

What's the etiquette regarding tipping the doorman at a show?  Since my tickets are reserved into certain seats already is tipping the doorman still required?

My inital thought is no, if your seats are already pre-assigned. I don't know of any shows in Vegas today that are "open seating", but I have not been to one in a while.

This question might get a better response from a general Las Vegas information message board like Las Vegas Talk.

It depends on how bad or good your original seats are and if the show is full and sold out.  I've been in shows where I we had seats that were pretty far at the back and were able to be moved to the front row table for a $10 tip to the usher.
YMMV.
