Very interesting. Came across the colorized version of It's a Wonderful Life last week. Enjoyed it, but don't think I'd prefer the colorized version of all b/w films from now on. I agree though that for any filmbuff, it's definitely worth looking into these.

This contest is reminding me that I used to prefer the original B&W versions of the early classics.  I mean MAINSTREAM, not classic erotica.    

Right now, I'm watching some of the colorized versions and I'm starting to prefer them.  And I freely admit that it's because the women are so much more attractive to me in full color.  Sherlock Holmes, The Woman in Green.  She's actually wearing green!  And she, Hillary Brooke, is beautiful!
