Has any who been banned or lock out of Ter been able to get a reply from ter support? Or even more so Unlock?

And not just had their posting privileges suspended probably don't deserve to be allowed back.
People who have been removed and find their way around the ban usually out themselves quickly, once a prick always a prick.

Very few bannings have been permanent. You are correct in that a banning is definitely different from losing posting priveledges. When someone loses posting priveledges they can still log on and search and read reviews and use the PM system, and contact admin etc. They just can't post on the discussion boards. When someone is banned they can't even log on.

and I stand by my statement that those who return with a new account and a new handle soon show their colors and fall back into the same recognizable pattens.

I was just adding info to the thread. I agree with you about the folks who find ways around banning and come back under other handles usually give up themselves. I disagree with your statement that people banned "probably don't deserve to be allowed back." It depends on the infraction. Many are minor, and many "bannings " are treated more as a suspension than a banning. I'm sure once the extreme measure of banning a member takes place, it is treated on a case by case basis whether that person will be allowed back, and when. The member can plead his/her case via email since he/she can't log on.

"Punishments" here consist of:
1) moderation
2) suspension of posting priveledges
3) temporary banning (actually a suspension)
4) permanent banning

By the way I know these things because I was banned about three years ago and then was reinstated about three weeks later. Actually a lot of members were banned after the big TER shakeup in Feb 2012. Most of them have been allowed back

See my post to DJ, regarding the difference between being banned and losing posting priveledges. If someone is banned they are locked out from their account, but they can communicate with admin via email.
