My National Lampoon subscription got me through high school and college, showing how humor could have a very intelligent component.  SCTV opened up a new dimension on sketch TV.  

Animal House came out right before I went to college and warped me further.  
Meatballs, Caddyshack, Stripes, Ghostbusters, National Lampoon Vacation series, Groundhog Day.

Talk about laying the groundwork for a whole new generation of humor.  So much influence in front of and especially behind the camera.
 
I will miss you and your work.
