I actually on the 12, was at Lewes Beach De and did the bonfire thing. It's a private beach and typically bonfires aren't allowed but we did it anyway. We put it out properly.  I am not really sure where one could go to do that. Every beach is at least 90minute drive.

Hmmmmm, no one has PM'd you with any info? Sorry I could be of more help.

Growing up on the west coast, summertime has always meant days on the river and midnight bonfires with your closest friends. As a bout of homesickness strikes, I think this weekend will be perfect for finding something similar here.

Are there any rivers/beaches close to Baltimore that are open for this sort of thing? Clean, safe, and open to visitors at night? I looked up the patapsco river, but it looks like their banks are mostly rocks. Even if bonfires aren't allowed in MD, getting together on the sands and just hanging out is cool too. If anyone knows of someplace close that would be awesome!

Thanks to all ;)
