Mexico does not consider those who go to the United States to be loyal to America, but rather to Mexico:
"We have recognized that the Mexican population is 100 million in Mexico and the 23 million who live in the United States," asserted Juan Hernandez, the dual national who was the first chief of the IME, in a 2001 interview. "We are a united nation."
1) the oil well explosion. How many weeks did Obama wait until he responded?
2) the economy. What has he done except to raise the national debt, and spend more money.
3) the invasion of the US. For years I have followed the publically stated policy of Mexico. Plain and simple it is to reoccupy the SW United States of America... what has Obama done to prevent that?
4) international relations... are they better or worse... instead of telling the you're-a-peeings that they are full of it, he failed at the global warming conference to persuade anyone of anything.... What a poster kid for a smutz... to say nothing of our relations with those who wish us harm
5) War on terror... What war on terror... pissed of the military... wow, what an accomplishment, even Clinton managed to avoid that.
This is the excellent example of those that can, do. those that can't, teach.
This guy is incompetent as a leader. Can't impeach him, cause he ain't done nuttin impeachable... but there ought to be a recall button....

At the end of the day the economy trumps all other issues. Companies large and small are not hiring, and it's directly related to uncertainty, pending tax increases, draconian regulation, and just a flat disdain for the private sector by this Administration.
New home sales for the month of May were 300K. So how effective was that $8K tax credit that expired in April. We added more to the debt and basically got nothing for it. Hey, at least those evil Wall Street banks paid back their TARP loans at a profit of over $20B to the Federal Government.
40K oil rigs are deployed around the world. One blows up, and yes it was tragic, but does it justify a moratorium that destroys jobs?
We have a bunch policy wonks in this Administration. They are either lawyers, civil servants, or from academia. Not one is from the private sector. Considering no one in the White House has actually designed, developed, managed a product or service, managed a P&L, hired or fired, it's obvious they don't understand how jobs are created, except for government jobs.
I keep thinking that 2012 can't come soon enough, but then I saw JohnGaltnh's post, and it's obvious, we are creating citizens dependent on government, hence it's in their best interest to vote liberal. And to think we are becoming more liberal than Europe. Go fucking figure.
if you have done that, you realize where jobs are created, and paid for.
that was one of the most informative lessons in life I ever learned. If you don't produce anything that folks can use, you are a parasite, a tick on the but of humanity.
What EVER has Obama made and sold? or what service has he ever presented to the average citizen and charged for.
Honest work for honest pay.
Products and service. Many are patented and sold to private enterprise.
Employment is turning around 2 people left and are taking new jobs with other companies. We have many openings but can't find qualified folks to hire.
You have depended on the government all your life, you just don't realize the fact.
SOS over and over. When you hate someone, you create shit.
St. Croix"40K oil rigs are deployed around the world. One blows up, and yes it was tragic, but does it justify a moratorium that destroys jobs? "
The moratorium is on the 33 deep water wells only. There are still 39,967 wells around the World and included in that figure are over three thousand active shallow wells in the Gulf.
I was talking to a Oil Baron on top of the hill yesterday and he told me President Obama shouldn't have put a moratorium just because we had a one in a million accident..
I told him the correct math would be one in 33..Until we have technology that can easily stop a catastrophe like the BP gusher, I totally agree with NO deep water wells allowed in any US waters. I don't see any logic in doing otherwise.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_gulf_oil_spill
There are literally millions of wells in production around the world.
Speaking as an oil man and a concerned citizen, I have no objections to a moratorium on deep water drilling until the risks can be properly assessed. Waiting a few months to produce the oil that has been there for hundreds of millions of years, is not the end of the world. Another catastrphe like what happened with BP is simply not acceptable.
I personally operate several hundred wells, every one of them is subject to countless rules and regulations. Some of the rules seem rather silly at times, but all in all after 35 years in this business, and having seen the "greed factor" involved, I am thankful the rules are in place, even if they are ocassionally a nuisance for me personally.
You're the expert on this board as it relates to oil, but our economy is in dire straits. Every little fuck up by this administration is pushing us back into a recession. I'd like to think the BP accident is a one-off, but I'm coming from a viewpoint that we can't take another hit on losing more jobs, irrespective of the fact that we have an absolutely clueless leader.
Oh well, I guess I can always "short" the market and individual stocks, and still make money, but I really prefer to be "long" and positive about our economy. It really is sad to hear and see the fear Americans have about our economy and direction.
or maybe he is just exaggerating like I do when a civvy lady asks me what I do for a living.
I am a Synthetic Bacterial Engineer.. Its a true job description..
I use many synthetic cleaning products
I rid the bathrooms of bacteria
If the toilet stops up, I use my engineering skills to flush it..
If you think a simple plunger works everytime, you don't have the necessary skills to take my job.
Millions of oil wells in the World???? That reminds me as a young teen sometimes I would look for water in the woods with a post hole digger, some eight foot lengths of pipe and a hand water pump that attached to the pipe{old style} and a lot of patience.
I found water sometimes that I could actually pump by hand within my 12 foot maximum depth capability, but usually it was near a swamp or pond.
If he's counting all the Jethros with a couple pieces of pipe looking for oil in their back yard, ..Maybe..but millions of wells ???
I reckon I'll have to PM google tutor, and get to the bottom of this.
Who the HELL's been drinking without me?? LMAO
Hey, that stuff is 1000% better than the cosmopolitans some of the board members drink.
Now care to estimate how many jobs - how many livelihoods - how many businesses have been lost becasue of BP's colossal fuckup?
It dwarfs the number of oil jobs lost because of a moratorium, I would guess.
And wait until the hurricane season picks up all that shit and dumps it over hundreds of miles of farmland inland from the gulf.
That's the 'long' and 'short' of the jobs situation.
actually decreased by 30 percent last month when the ax credit expired. Small businesses still have trouble getting loans. Your right about the OBama administration staff, has anyone on he cabinet ever run a business, does anyone have an idea to run a business, to earn living with their hands. Another pet peeve, they seem to have graduated from Harvard or Yale.
Still disagree with TARP. lol.
We have a super BCS every 4 years. Whichever team wins, graduates from that university run the country for 4 years. That way we get those east coast elitists assholes out of government, and include Columbia in that group.
Oh God, I just hope the Cal Bears don't win the BCS. Those Berkeley freaks would be actually worse than the Ivy league. Some of these Beavers, Ducks and Bruins are a bit too liberal for me. I'd might have to root for the Sooners, Longhorns, Tide or Gators.
You do know that I only liked TARP as it relates to the banks. At the end of the day this country doesn't operate without financials, and at least GS, JPM, C, BAC and others paid it back with a profit for the government. I wasn't in favor of TARP for GM, Chrysler, Fannie & Freddie. It will be a cold day in hell before we see that money again. I'm meeting you halfway (lol).
with some Aggies and most of them are hardworking, results-oriented and got skills. CalBear grads are too theoretical. When you need a ramp for a single-story portable trailer and all you ask is to make sure access is ADA complaint and they come back with plans for an elevator; you wonder how they put on their socks in the morning.
I'm with you, UC Berkeley may have Nobel Prize winners in Economics but I wouldn't trust them to run a business let alone a country. I like your idea of a BCS Superconference Championship for President. I mean it. It actually sounds pretty cool. Where did you come up that idea?
By the way buddy, most Beavers are actually pretty conservative. I mean come on, we are an agricultural, science and engineering school.
Washington D.C. is run by graduates of Ivy League schools. To me they are just a privileged class, whether they are liberal or conservative. Plus like many grads of Cal, they tend to be policy wonks.
East coast West Coast liberals would freak out on such a BCS concept. They just wouldn't accept grads from the SEC or Big 12 (oops Big 10 ex Colorado & Nebraska) running this country. Maybe it would force Harvard and Yale to do a better job recruiting. Get some corn fed boys from the Midwest, boys with speed from Florida or Texas, and cheerleaders from TCU. Then let them mate with those little Long Island elitists. Throw in a few University of Miami football players in the mix. Could you even imagine seeing that?
Considering Oregon is a pretty liberal state, I kinda threw the Beavers under the bus. Sorry about that. I did it with my Bruins as well.

What would you have done?
1) the oil well explosion. How many weeks did Obama wait until he responded?
Answer: Blame lax regulations under Bush/Cheney. The oil industry owned the White House.
2) the economy. What has he done except to raise the national debt, and spend more money.
Answer: Extension of the Bush stimulus/bailout. Remember TARP, free money given to Banks under Bush. The bailout of GM started under Bush.
3) the invasion of the US. For years I have followed the publically stated policy of Mexico. Plain and simple it is to reoccupy the SW United States of America... what has Obama done to prevent that?
Answer:Remember Bush wanted Immigration reform but the bill was stalled in the congress.
4) international relations... are they better or worse... instead of telling the you're-a-peeings that they are full of it, he failed at the global warming conference to persuade anyone of anything.... What a poster kid for a smutz... to say nothing of our relations with those who wish us harm
Answer: International relations are much better under Obama. WTF are we doing in Afghanistan/Iraq.
5) War on terror... What war on terror... pissed of the military... wow, what an accomplishment, even Clinton managed to avoid that.
Answer: Relation are better with our allies than at any time since the Bush Administration.
instead of realizing that this President is in way over his head.
I sincerely had high hopes for him when he got elected. I didn't vote for him but I was willing to give him a chance and see what he could do.
Back when Hillary's campaign imploded, I smiled and enjoyed watching her squirm and whine and cry. But even then I knew that the implosion of her campaign was the worst thing that could happen.
Even the most diehard conservatives knew that 2008 was going to be a Democrat's year to win the White House. I conceded that point.
And now I just cringe when I think how much better off we would be had Hillary gotten elected instead of then-Sen. Obama.
I could even put up with her screeching and her whining . . . . . . .
People who state "this president is way over his head" have not pulled their head out of their asses.
All of you must live on another planet. Any excuse for blaming President Obama.
Unless you just dropped on this earth, the whole world knows what a crappy job the previous genius did. Most of the time, he could not pronounce certain words, made them up as went along. Rest of the world tolerated them, didn't do a damn thing in international relations other than screw up after screw up.
The recession and job loss started under Bush, we know that too very well. If you really list all the screw ups of the Bush administration, it will probably take months to list them all.
What is the one big accomplishment of Bush?
It's Obama's economy now. He has been on the job for 18 months, it belongs to him. The unemployment rate under Bush when he left was 7.2%. Now granted, we all knew it was going to continue to rise. But I trust you remember Obama promised the unemployment rate would top out at 8.5%, and that his policies would create 3M jobs in calendar year 2009. Well guess what? The unemployment rate ain't going down. In fact, if you factor in those that have stopped looking, the true unemployment is closer to 12%.
I don't know how I can say this any clearer. Companies are NOT hiring in the U.S. Some are hiring overseas, because U.S. companies are increasing their international business. As long as you have uncertainty, pending tax increases, draconian regulation, companies will NOT hire at the levels needed to bring unemployment down to a historical normal level.
Blame Bush all you want. I'm sure you will blame him 50 years from now, but Obama runs the show now. It's his policies that are driving the economy, see uncertainty, pending tax increases and regulation.
They want power but do not want to takre sponsibility for anything....
Obama is QUICKLY approaching the 1/2 way mark of his presidency, and yet they still hide behind GWB as some type of fall guy.
1) Apparently they still do. Remember Obama was drll baby drill proponent before the gulf oil spill. OH, BUT OF COURSE,YOU DON'T REMEMBER, BECAUSE YOU ARE A LIBERAL. YOU'RE CREDABILITY IS FOR S**T
2) Unemployment has CLIMBED on his watch another 3-4% points since he took office. He is now trying to break his pledge and is trying to raise taxes on familes who make less than 250K and is floating a VAT tax, which hits EVERYONE. The markets hate uncertainity and Obama = Uncertainty. OH, BUT OF COURSE,YOU DON'T REMEMBER, BECAUSE YOU ARE A LIBERAL. YOU'RE CREDABILITY IS FOR S**T
3) He is plaaning on fighting Arizona by suing them regarding their steps to stop illegal immigration. He also has not done squat about actually builing a wall to secure the border. OH, BUT OF COURSE,YOU DON'T REMEMBER, BECAUSE YOU ARE A LIBERAL. YOU'RE CREDABILITY IS FOR S**T
4) He has alienated our only real ally in the Middle East buy publicking snubbing them and not backing them in the UN. OH, BUT OF COURSE,YOU DON'T REMEMBER, BECAUSE YOU ARE A LIBERAL. YOU'RE CREDABILITY IS FOR S**T
5) Unlike GWB, Obama is so arrogant he thinks he knows more about military strategy than the generals. Remeber, that was Obama's HAND PICKED GUY to run the show in Afghanistan and look at the result. OH, BUT OF COURSE,YOU DON'T REMEMBER, BECAUSE YOU ARE A LIBERAL. YOU'RE CREDABILITY IS FOR S**T
But at least I'd fuck Jane Curtin
Those who can't teach, teach gym.
Thank you
2010 = 28

go figure.
The idea is to put you on the defensive against essentially charges of heresy so they need not answer the actual substantive charges you have made against them.
