Mainly because it is not authentic. It was written as fanfic for Twilight. If you search for "Master of the Universe" twilight you'll find the first and second book. Basically it was written with Edward and Bella being the main characters and the names were only changed when she wanted to get it published. If you want a nauseating female lead who cries a lot then this is a book for you. Also, the main male lead is pretty much a total asshole.
