forum for the tragic loss of my/our friend.  I also extend my gratitude for the emails and phone calls from those who knew her personally.  She was neither my ATF nor my SO, but she was a very special friend much like a little sister to me.  I was involved in a situation and did what was needed to help a friend. I was not a hero: I was a friend. I am confident that the majority of the men and women in “our community” would have done exactly the same thing.  As for those who would not help a friend in need, I can only pity them, for they are missing one of the greatest, most fulfilling, joys in life.  You have to be a friend to have a friend.
