I would have opt for Pebble Beach.

Watch the tournament Thur to Sun, then stay over an extra day or two and play the course. There is not a better piece of golf real estate anywhere in the world.

All I can say is I'm glad I don't have to choose between Peeble and the Phoenix Open. One is a great course, and the other great holes, if you know what I mean.

P.S. I live in SoCal. There is nothing in Pomona. Oh well, enjoy the NHRA.

1)  AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.   I almost always go - it's Thur to Sun

2)  Daytona 500 - I go every other year or so.  And Daytona speed weeks is on now.

3)  50th NHRA Winternationals - Pomona, CA.  Many one time appearances by cars and drivers from the 50 year history.  I almost always go.

What do I do!!!??!!

While I'll miss the other two it really wasn't much of a decision...

NITRO!

See you in Pomona!

In my opinion Pebble Beach is over rated.  I've played it a lot.  the hardest course down there is Spyglass and that's the baby they should have the USOpen on....but no room for hospitality tests, etc.

Olympic Club in San Francisco is a harder course - proven by the USGA statistics.  When the open goes there we'll see the differences in scores - that will be 2012.

Phoenix open is a hoot of fun - and the golf coure is "ok"...I had a 69 there last year.  On the golf course not in bed.

But until you've expeienced NITRO at night....well you haven't lived.

I have first hand experience on this one.  Someone once told me, Nitro Top Fuel cars sound like a T Rex coming through your front yard.  I thought that was a pretty good description myself.  Enjoy the races channelguy!
