Not really so much a Newbie FAQ, but I still think this is the board.
We all have different places we find ladies when we are interested in something new - could be BP, Cityvibe, P411, RS2K, or any number of other boards. But since I know and trust TER better than any other place, I always want to see if the lady has a track record here. So I search.
The best search approach for me has been to use the advanced review search, set it for US, All cities, and then enter either a phone number, or if that does not work, an email address. But sometime the reviews end up with older phone numbers, missing email addresses, so a lady with a review will still not come up on my search.
Name searches are not too useful most of the time because of all the results that come up (somewhere there is a providers' guide that lists the four names every provider should use), plus ladies do change their names. And searching within a city is a bad idea because ladies move around.
If you have a surefire way to find out if a lady has been reviewed, I would love to hear about it.
To do a google search on her phone#,email address,or website(if she has one). Sometimes,when searching other sites will pop up with reviews if you cannot find her here. Good luck on your search!
alternate spellings or previous phone numbers that lead to her TER reviews. That kind of cross-checking feels like too much work, but sometimes it's the only way. There really is no single surefire identifier, like a VIN for providers.
I also use the new reviews first for my area. I follow them even when i am not looking for something new and then I have a list of ladies I would like to see when the time comes. If I just go through something like BP then I would have to be happy to find about 25% of the ladies actually have reviews. That's just too much work when I can easily start with reviewed ladies first. Yes I might miss out on some visiting ladies, but most of the time I can find them by watching the regional board ads or P411 ads. Having a list of review ladies you would like to see is a lot easier then looking at a bunch of ads and trying to find reviews.
Undoubtedly, starting your search with TER is more efficient than the other way around, but in many cases it doesn't work very well. I regularly check the new reviews for my area, and it can be depressing how little of interest to me turns up. By now, there isn't anybody around here I don't already know about, and I'm lucky if I spot one promising newcomer per month that way.
Most of the good providers I've seen I first discovered somewhere else, then verified here. Clicking on pics of hot looking girls isn't efficient, but it's intuitive and fun, especially when you occasionally find someone who checks out who you wouldn't have found any other way. And even when she doesn't check out, you learn things you'd never learn by going straight to TER. At any rate, that's the situation the OP was asking for help with, so evidently he finds some value in it.
I realize some areas of the country have a lot less new selection to look at then others. Also over time you sometimes need to TOFFT, if no one did, there would be no new reviews for new ladies. I still don't take much effort searching on TER if the phone or name does not get a hit then I just take it as no reviews you can count on. Now there are other methods already mentioned to lessen your risks on a TOFFT. I once saw a total unknown only because it was obvious from her ads that she was traveling with another provider who was reviewed.
