I've only been a P411 member for a little over a year

When I lived in Atlanta it was completely unnecessary, and even outside of Atlanta I was a mod here for years, and I didn't have to jump through many hoops to get screened. All I had to do was send a PM or make a post disappear and then reappear to prove who I was. Pretty neat, isn't it? Or maybe I should say "Wasn't it?" lol

When providing references, do you have a staple 3-4 that you use regularly?
Or do you use the most recent and back track from there?

when do you stop using them? Like if you have not seen her in a yr?

Some providers and I have a discussion on a diff site, and it seems many have this 6 month rule...
they provide references for 6 months, but if you have not seen her in over 6 months, she no longer will be a reference. I think 8-12mths is fair.

I started this because a client used me and exclusively me as his go to reference for almost 2 yrs, and he saw me one time! I finally told him that I had not seen him in 2 yrs, and a lot can change, so I can not be a good reference for him.
Another provider let a guy go 3 yrs!

Providers what is your reference rule

to give me a white list referrals or Date-Check referrals (whichever they prefer...or both) and never have to bother them again.

But most girls I contact through TER, don't even ask me for referrals. They already know who I am :D

I'm a member of P411 and D-C, with a dozen OKs on each, plus a bunch  of reviews and White Lists here.  I don't get asked for references.

and I almost never get asked for references either, I am a member of p 411 though and that is a huge help.

Truth be told, I don't like bothering women I've seen for references, OTOH I don't really mind giving out my personal info, just as long as it isn't via one of those insipid forms. I don't "apply" for pussy. lol

and just like my fellow blabbermouth Inicky, most TER ladies already know who I am. So if they still want to see me, their standards, almost by definition are rather low. rofl

the site not to be named then lol

the majority on there are not on P411, datecheck etc

a known presence on the boards... Does not work for the average guy, just browsing the classifieds/ad

There are some advantages to being a blabbermouth here. lol

New clients get 90 days and 3 times to use me as a reference.
I had one guy use me for a reference twice in 90 days then a third time 6 months later.
Since I couldn't recall who he was, I didn't give the provider the go ahead.
He sent an email asking why me I said no.
Needless to say that it was not a nice email and he was put on my DNS list.

I thought I was bad at saying 6 months, maybe a year if they had been regulars...

Another provider I know had seen a guy 2x ten nothing for 7 months, he uses her as a reference. she denies it, restating her 6 month policy, and he totally cussed her out in a email!

I just tell them that I have to think of the safety of my fellow providers, and if I have not seen you in such and such time, I cant give a current report on you... I mean for all I know, you were on your best behavior with me, to get the reference, and then being a hell client with others (I mean, if you weren't a hell client, then why not use your most recent? lol )

Some will understand, others get pissy...

Not that I would ever see her in the first place, but sheesh, what a bitch.

Truth be told, I don't really like to bother ladies that I've seen, but haven't seen lately, just to ask her to help me spend my money elsewhere.

I know men do like different women for different reasons... I am totally ok with their variety needs.

The only thing I DONT like is for a guy to see one time, and then re-use me for like 2-3yrs like before...

How can I accurately tell the provider what he will be like after it being so long, and only after our 1st meeting?

A lot can happen from then to now!

Now I do make exceptions .on a case by case basis to not enforce the rule or let them slide on the space of when he visits. For instance, this guy has seen me every week since I started in this biz, and for whatever reason, he has not seen me a year.. I will still give him a good reference, because I know him better and for longer.

OR a guy who sees me every month for 10 yrs, then moves or loses his job or whatever... I will still give a reference..

I know that isn't the norm and I wouldn't expect ladies to give or accept a reference that old, and wouldn't recommend hobbyists to try to use an old reference, but it did work for me. We were all totally honest. I asked the first provider if she would give a reference for me even though it's been so long. I asked the new provider if she would accept an old reference. The reference giver gave a good reference but definitely made the new lady aware that it had been a long time, so it was up to the new lady to accept or not and she did. (oh and the lady that gave the reference...I only saw one time:))

Like gambler and some others have said on this thread, I rarely ever give references though. TER and p411 and another review site has sufficed for some. I am willing to give out personal info to a reputable lady, but I actually only did that once. And there have been many ladies that never required any screening at all (yes some well reviewed ladies that say "screening required" too)

I've been a member of Room Service 2000 for many years and also DateCheck.  RS2000 is very popular in my region, so most providers won't see clients who aren't members.  So far, the providers that I've seen were satisfied with those services and didn't require any additional provider references.

However, most if not all of the providers that I've seen will not give references if you haven't seen them within a year.  The same goes for whitelisting where they will de-whitelist clients after a year

Most the time I use P411 or D-C, and it is not an issue--they can check whomever they want off my list of OKs.  When a lady wants specific references I tend to use a small number of references, generally ladies who know me quite well.  We may not have seen each other for a while, but we stay in touch enough they are comfortable with vouching for me.
