"It's Not Selling Your Body, It's More Like Controlled-Access Rental" by Titania Kumeh, Saturday Aug 14, Mother Jones.
(I thought it was time and companionship only.)
A story / interview about a quarterly magazine called "$pread" about the industry (or is it the hobby?). An excerpt:
"With a circulation of about 3,000 ("Each copy is passed between 4 or 5 people on average, according to a readers' survey," Rockwell asserts), the quarterly magazine includes anything from "product reviews (from false eyelashes to anal lube), to personal essays about weird clients, to news reports on international public policy and events affecting sex worker communities around the globe," according to its website. $pread's current "Aging" issue, which is sold online and available in a few independent bookstores, grapples with maturity in a profession seemingly absorbed with youthful appearance."
About: http://www.spreadmagazine.org/about/ "$pread is a quarterly magazine by and for sex workers and those who support their rights. We are current and former strippers, escorts, pro-dommes, phone sex and fetish workers, and porn stars of all genders. ..."
Anybody ever heard of or seen an issue of $pread?
Anybody want to contribute a story about TER or is that more of a paid advertisement? How about a regular feature "View from the other side" (the client!)?
