Please be aware that London hotels and vacation apartments as well as free wifi pubs, cafes and bars and pay internet kiosks, have a block on this site,  and all related escort material! be prepared Before You Get There, or be in for a rude shock

Ran into content blocking during a London trip in May 2014, the workaround that I used:

PC = run the Tor Browser
Android Phone = run the Orbot plugin for Firefox Brows

Only way I found out was to ask for help while I was over there -- was caught totally off guard that a service would even consider blocking content that is legal for viewing in the UK.

I figure the more people who know about the options in advance, the better.  Maybe one of them will cross paths with a friend who's stuck over there and locked out, and can help him.

I am based in London Uk and we access this site and all the other with no problem. London is liberal and accepting of this kind of service so are you sure that your device dind't just need to be unblocked?

If your account existed prior to mid-2013 then you're grandfathered in and won't have any issues.  New internet accounts (modem, and mobile data plans) are default with content filtering of certain types of sites.  One can request the filter be lifted, but it took me over a week to make any progress with Vodafone, and in the meantime I had already started with Orbot and bypassed the restriction on my mobile.

I think the hotel I'd stayed at in June had recently changed internet service and just not requested the filter be lifted for their WiFi service to guests.  Headed back in October so will find out then, but won't try to lift the filter since I already have a fix for it with Tor on the PC.
