I guess I am looking back and feeling sorry for myself. But have you ever wondered how much money and time you spend on this hobby? I sat down and figured out that
1. I have spend on average $300 or so per week. So that is $1200 a month (give or take)
2. I have been at this for 3 years, so that is 36 months. Total comes to $43K so far
That does not count the hours to take off work, figure out who to see, when to see, where to see, ..etc
Now I am no-one by far compared to some of you guys out there, but $43K ? that is a LOT of money!
And I know what you will say, it is the next best pussy, the young one, they one with big boobs, the one who swallows, but isn't it at the end of the day, a couple of pops and you are done with the action?

I'm not meaning to be critical, but this isn't the first time you've done the math, is it? Like most everything else in life we chose to do, we weigh the benefits, cost and risk. Not knowing what your earnings are or your life priorities, it's difficult to say whether $43K is a lot or it is not.
I've just started on this little adventure myself, but I've certainly given some thought to how much it could cost given different scenarios. I hope to keep my wits about me and to regularly evaluate whether I think I'm spending wisely given what I get from the experience.
I hope in the final analysis you feel like what you've gotten back from this has been well worth your time and money.
Been in the hobby far longer than you, so your total is not even close to what I've spent. But, I absolutely have no regrets. I've been with some of the most beautiful...sexy babes in the world...I have met some of the most remarkable women one could hope to know...I have many..rich..erotic...unbelievable memories....stories that could make a pretty damn interesting book. My total ammount....I think I'll wait until it's time to cash in before I count the chips.

It strongly suggests that you are in the wrong hobby. You should just settle down with a nice civie lady and call it a day (Although, that may end up costing a lot more in the end).
Just like GTM, I also have other pursuits that carry a bit of a price tag. And when the money became an issue I dropped that activity. Example: I became a bit of oenophile and only after I had invested the cost an automobile in my collection did I realize that my favorites could be had at the local supermarket. At that point, the money became an issue and, consequently, wine was no longer a hobby.
This hobby should only bring joy. Once you continue to pursue it after realizing it affects you negatively as you suggest, it's more addiction than hobby. Right now you are not receiving joy as much as you are just getting bitter.
Could not agree with GTM and otherswoh have posted on this board more!! If you cant handle spending the monies then jump ship. There are several ladies that I have met, here in the US and overseas, who have introduced me to a much higher playing field. I knew that if I wanted to see several of them, then I had to go for it.
Try punting in Europe/UK and the FOREX will kill you if you try to track it(as the USD slide sucks for this hobby). Ladies $200-400 are great in the US. In the UK for example, your are looking at least 1.5 times that for the same. I have been lucky as several of the ladies that I have seen have let me in to their world. Seeing several former playmates in one country, has opened the door in other countries. Ill tell you that there are several top models that work in the show, during the seasons, that are UTR and want it that way.
Also what hobby does not cost monies over time. My advise is, if its costing you more than you want to pay, more on.

Agree that if you look at this as a hobby that takes the place of another pursuit, e.g. golf, photography, antique collecting, whatever, you can justify the cost -- so long as other priorities, like retirement savings, are not being cut.
But if you are constantly putting expenses on your credit card or falling short at the end of the month, you need to reassess your lifestyle.
Being an economics nerd, one of the first things they teach you in Econ 101 is to always look at both sides of the transaction.
In this case you're taking what you get out of this hobby a bit for granted I think. Try going cold turkey on this hobby for 2 months, and I think you'll see what I mean.
Memories last a life time, and that's money well spent. You can always make more money. You can't undo regrets.
Be happy that you can do this once a week. I certainly can't.

Dude, are you trying to rub it in our face that you are such a stud with deep pockets. Well, I spent half that amount in just 18 days in January by taking a provider with me to Oahu, Maui and the Big Island. Then I spent another 12K by taking another provider to the Virgin Virgin Gorda and Tortola. Those numbers dont include food, entertainment, condums, wine, souviners, etc.
I haven't been hobbying that long but I've been paying for ass 1 way or another since I was 20, I was a bartender for 13 years and ran 2 of the best bars in NOVA making 1700-2000 a week on 36 hrs a week. FOr a fat white dude w/great hair that was huge $$$. I'm 37 now u can figure out where I'm talking about if you try. In my previous life I was the head bartender and ran the best club in Fairfax I had several girlfriends over the years who I paid there rent 6-800 a month, my rent 650 a month and a several mistresses paying there rent 4-900 a month.
The point I'm making is I paid 1 year close to 40,000 and had to deal w/a girlfriend, mistress and strange on the side, keeping all those stories together and not get busted by any of the girls. $43,000 over 3 years for no drama is a fucking steal in my mind. Don't complain be happy 2 of 3 girls your sleeping w/never showed up at your pad waiting for. I think your alright and the self hate that's on you and your spiritually...
Does anyone ever consider what they put into a hobby. My father built model train sets. He (with my help) built a set that filled an entire room. There are guys at my job who have to spend thousands on hunting, boating, and drag racing. At $ 200 to $ 350 a session our hobby isn't that bad as they go.
I agree with joelrick about other hobbies being expensive too.
This is not my most expensive hobby. I have been racing cars for about 10 years. In none of those years has this hobby been anywhere near as expensive as the money for racing.

Well...I think I spent almost 8gs on my 350Z and GT500...but, I sold all the parts and now driving with total stock(like regular ppl)...lol
My 2nd hobby was go to every single DC sports game...I'm talkin about SKINS, NATS, WIZARDS, CAPS..lol I had all 4 of season tickets...but, I sold them all and watching at home with my LCD tv...IMAO

Money. Its just money. Remember the message board a year ago about what was cheaper a Provider or a Girlfriend? The provider was cheaper, not including marriage & divorce cost and all your extra free time.
Money comes and goes, memories & experiencing many types of ladies is PRICELESS. I know I have spent more than $43K over 5 years, but its money that is left over after the basic necessities in life are taken care of first. I agree there are a lot more expensive hobbies out there. My friends spend tens of thousands of dollars on their 45 ft motor and sail boats, which I get to enjoy 2 to 3 times a summer w/o the hassle of ownership and just provide a case of beer and $200 for fuel each time. Bottom line. I view Hobbying like a "TIME MACHINE" , where you can go back in time for 60 minutes and be w/ a 20 year old PYT and experience and do the things you know now that you wish you knew then. Its just money. Enjoy. Then get back to work. We got an economy to just-start and fix.
It doesn't matter the cost. You will spend money on things that appear not to make sense days later, but you had fun. Guess what? You look back a week later for more of it. I think your real concern is are you allocating to much of your resources towards the hobby and jeopardizing your life goals? As with all things keep it in moderation. Don't over eat, drink to much, smoke too much, work to much, etc. If you can't control it, get help.
You could always invest in a magazine subscription and hand lube instead.
I think about it sometimes. Evaluating the opportunity cost from time to time. Bliss for the moment versus something of longer term value. Sure memories are "long term" but I forget half the shit I've done.
My suggestion is that you spank it 2 extra times a week and reduce your burn rate 50%.

I am no where as bigger spender as you. I caught myself. It all happen one day when I paid $25 for an incredible time and the next day $$$ for a so - so time. I then came to a conclusion in the end its about a good pop, not how much you spend. After that time the hobby didn't have as much value to me personally. So I became extremely picky and I cut down my burn rate by 75%. I was averaging about one appointment every week now I am about one a month. The other option is to save the money up, and then splurge on some incredible providers that would satsify you for at least 2 weeks. I know guys that have done this.
Yes, I did that calculation shortly after I started. The way I handled it was to stop seeing girls for a bit, created an investment 'fund' with the cash I otherwise would have used on providers, and now use a portion of the return on the investment for fun. It feels better this way. In some years I can splurge and in other years I go without for a little while.
