Wisconsin Bill SB26sad_smile

This bill is currently being reviewed to increase fines to $5,000 for soliciting a prostitute. The bill is being written as such to say that the fines collected will be used to help "sex trafficked victims", which we of course know is BS. The money will be used to increase funding stings for arrests, ruining more lives, helping no one in the process.  I am in contact with representatives at the state level to once again speak out against this nonsense, but we all know this is an uphill battle. Clientele will be targeted more in stings to "rescue" sex workers that are all incorrectly assumed to be trafficked. Please be careful, diligent, safe, and look out for each other. This message will be cross posted on the general board. Please feel free to reach out to me with questions, concerns, or comments.

Miss Scarlet, for taking the lead on this.  It is difficult for those of us who must hide our true identity to speak out to out elected representatives on this issue.  Any suggestions?  And, it is difficult to speak out against "sex trafficking" enforcement since it does happen even though it is EXTREMELY rare.  Seems like they have us by the short hairs on this one!

Thanks for standing up and speaking out against his nonsense. I tried speaking out about  this exact same thing about 12 years ago and got nowhere. Maybe, you could point me in the right direction this time?
