They could just use the DC board. Or ...

If a lady was touring and decided to stay in Tyson's or for that matter Alexandria , Arlington , or any where else in Nova , would it be best to place your ad on the new Va ad board or the DC board?

What about the ladies who might split their tour between DuPont Circle & Tyson's ?

I would think that more fringe cities such as Winchester or Fredericksburg would be the real question.  My take is that the VA ad board was designed for the non-DC metro areas of the broad state of VA (RVA, Roanoke, VA Beach, etc).

All the places you named, while technically VA, are quite close to DC and if I'm in Tysons, can just as easily get to an appointment in Dupont as I can in Alexandria.  Savvy gals will probably still advertise in both to cover their bases; however, I hope there is not a push to move all VA visits (Arlington and Fairfax Counties) to the VA ad board.

A good comparison may be the Boston / New England boards.

I think the same applies for MD cities within a short drive of DC.
VA and MD have plenty of towns outside of DC to support those categories.  Hopefully the diligent hobbyist checks both.

what a terrific phrase you coined! Should this be a guide book, a cafe, a novel, a sex toy store, or what? Love it.  :-)

....put DC dates on the DC board only and use the VA board and put their NoVA dates only.
They technically could get away with using both boards if they say put the NoVA dates as a reply to their DC ad and vice-versa.

I'm seeing more of those either based/visiting the more central and southern parts of VA using the VA ad board or if they're splitting time in NoVA and central/SoVA.

primarily for the rest of VA away from the DC area.  Yes, I am a fairly diligent hobbyist, but I look at the DC board first & the VA board not as often (or diligently).

Virginia board would be more for South VA, Central,   West. Areas not close to DC or the beltway. Technically, One could list an ad though for any Virginia area on the new board. It wouldn't be wrong. Unless we are told otherwise.

As a general rule (but certainly not an all encompassing one, there are exceptions in every case) if the towns you're advertising are within a reasonable driving distance to DC (100-120 miles, that kind of thing), you should post on DC. That's not to say we'd take those same ads down if they were on VA - we wouldn't - but just an FYI for all.

If you're going to post on both boards, the visiting dates rule still applies. Yes, we know it's possible to have a relevant ad on DC and VA at the same time and not actually be 'visiting' either of them, but that's also true of the Boston/New England crossover for example, and the same applies there - you can post on both but you need dates that don't overlap, etc..

That's the best explanation I've heard so far!
