hmmm... commit suicide?? ;)

Obviously, you have to determine if you're responsible.. If you were riding bareback, then you're an idiot of the first magnitude.. And in truth, so is she.. Neither of you know each other well enough to do that.. Of course, condoms break, so if yours did, then you **COULD** be responsible, but so could the rest of the population she's been with.

Secondly, if she really IS preg, then she's probably going to need to get a dna test, which you would need to determine paternity.  While I'm not a lawyer, it seems to me, you'll need one if it's proven who's da daddy is you.. There must be case law in this field, as obviously, women having sex with multiple partners for a living can cause accidental (and I suspect in some cases not accidental, i.e. John happens to be filthy rich) pregnancies.

Step one is get a DNA and get her tested to determine paternity, if you're not responsible, then anything else is irrelevant.  IF, and hope you're not, responsible, you need to run, not walk to the nearest lawyer specializing in paternity cases.  Be prepared to drop $5-10k on his retainer.. Talk about being screwed twice!.. As, you possibly could end up with 20 year payment schedule, you really need to find out your legal rights.  This isn't the case of you screwin the girlfriend, and she comes up preg.. The lady in question should have used ample protection, but maybe she can't take meds for it, or it simply didn't work, but regardless of that, you have to determine paternity first.  This could be a shakedown too.. Lots of scams out there if you have a large bank account..

Good luck.. ! Hope you're not married, or have an SO, as if this ends up in a legal arena, there's not much likelyhood it'll remain discreet.

Ok.. and bad joke of the day, in advance.. Hire Scott Peterson..

Yea, I know..it's bad.. but I had to instill some humor in this comment.. :)

DNA test is a necessity. This can be done before baby is born, but it's more expensive that way and some women refuse, as there are some claims that it may pose a risk to the fetus.
Seeing a lawyer is also a necessity, and the estimate of a retainer is appropriate, at least for Maryland (which is where I practice family law).
If it is yours, there is no leeway, at least not under Maryland law, and probably not in other states. You would absolutely be on the hook for child support. As an aside, you would also have a right to assert a custody or visitation claim. It does not matter if the mother is a "provider." A baby is a baby in the eyes of the law, and is entitled to support, period.
There are potential options for keeping it discreet, but that is very difficult and takes a lot of money.

i sorta figured we'd have lawyers in our midst.. Who else can afford the rates providers charge..! :)

I am glad to see my non-law background agreed with a lawyer, although that's sorta scary..

My bet would be that she'd not even be able to know with certainty who da daddy really is, and obviously, with only a DNA test can that be determined.  Maybe if daddy was asian and mommy is caucasian and she gave birth to an asian baby it would be sorta obvious, ASSUMING she didn't have any other asian clients..!  But DNA is absolute and certain.  What I'd wonder about though is how would madam provider home in on one person, or is she giving the 'i'm preg' speech to everyone to see who bites.. ??

Someone who does this for a living likely had seen a lotta guys between conception and that telltale preg test a month later.. Even more scary is she knew how to get hold of said potential daddy..  I never thought that they'd keep phone #'s and would have forgotten about it, although I guess the #'s are on the cell phone bill.  But even so, how could she truely determine who daddy really is?? If she sees 2-3-4 guys a day, the window of who could easily be 15-20 people, maybe more!

So, the option of a shakedown certainly exists.. I'd love someone to tell me she's preg and I'm likely the daddy, as I had a vasectomy 4 years ago, and the doctor said his method is irreversable and simply doesn't fail as he actually removes an inch of tubing, making it impossible..!  Those little swimmers would have to find a cauterized opening that's over an inch away..!

It will be interesting if Ed explains more and we hear about where this story leads.. !

Have you discussed the idea of getting an abortion?

Well Gentleman,

Here is what I have done so far.

She asked me give her money, First sign this is a scam. So I mae up am excuse that i am out of town and will try to help once i get back in town. Than I cashed in on a favor, and pulled her 411 the whole nine yards. with more info on hand i contacted her. The while thing in my opinion is a scam to suck some money out of me. One word of advise to everyone here. Never show up in a brand new Porsche. Never give out your Cell number. There something called remote call forwarding. A 10 dollar expense but worth it. I have changed my cell number and girl has no clue as to what my last name is or where or what i do for work. She has a felony on the record, she will not be coming after me that i am 100% positive. She was married for 8 years and had some kind of operation as her only pregnancy got complicated. So I think I am OK. Just one thing i will request everyone here, it doesnot matter how many times you have seen a provider or how honest you think she is, Nothing is worth going to bed and thinking all night, Did i catch some thing too? I got my results yesterday, all clear.

So lets all have some fun and be safe and selective.
