As a matter of fact my fellow hobbyists who vouched for the booker for me . When you are a regular you can get special treatment. The fact that I am asian really helps when you are dealing with asian providers. Asians are more comfortable with their race . Unfortunately it's a cultural thing. That's why people congregate within their own race .

You are reporting your own experience, nothing wrong with that.  Here is a vignette from my own experience that directly refutes your comments that racial affinity is always a big plus.  I am caucasian, the lady in question was J-K, grew up in Tokyo, was a university graduate, and was in the hobby for only a short time to raise funds for ongoing academic studies.  She already had a graduate degree from a Tokyo university.  If I had to pick a favorite of all the providers I've met in the last 10 years, she would be the one.  In short order she told me:  providing was only a way station, she didn't care for it much but it had its moments; she had a couple of J business customers the week before and found it strange and off-putting; she liked me because she'd never met a foreigner who spoke Japanese as well as I did and it was a turn on for her.  We connected beyond my wildest expectations over a one year period, with only short bursts here interrupted by her longer visits to Japan to finish her studies.  When we finally parted she had tears in her eyes and I had a lump in my throat.  If she magically turned up again I would climb mountains to get to her.  Here's to cross-cultural relationships!
