No slur intended, I just wondered. Im my area all but one is from Mexico or South America.

Star, I asked one girl the same question and she said the following.
1) Latino culture is more accepting of gay lifestyles and gender identity issues.
2) Regulations in the US make it much harder for an American girl to get hormones without parental consent if under 18. So, even if they want to transition, its harder to. Whereas, in a place like Brasil, younger girls can get them and begin early.
3) Many latina transsexuals are immigrants who may have fewer work opportunities to pay for their transition and thus have to escort. So, there may be more american transsexuals than you think but since they aren't as likely to escort, those of us whose primary interaction with tgirls is through escorts never see them.
This easily translates into the asian discussion as well.
Girls, do you concur or was this just one girl's opinion?
I guess I would tend to agree overall.
#1 Seems to be true. I know one girl who said her family didn't care what she did as long as she sent some money home to them. I don't know if that's tragic or a good thing.
I think #2 & 3 go hand in hand somewhat. First of all, girls in Mexico and (I assume) other latin counties can, like you said, get hormones over the counter with not too much problems. Even at a young age. #3, since they can start earlier, they need more money quicker for hormones, implants, silicone, plastic surgery, clothes... not to mention food and rent. Hard to start that lifestyle picking strawberries in a field or being a motel maid.
Not sure about how asian culture veiws things, but I do know that for most asian trannys, it's pretty easy for them to live as a "female". Just slap a wig on top of them and for the most part, they are good to go.
What I meant in my first post was that if you live in a place like L.A. or N.Y., there are bound to be more latina girls than you would find in someplace like Montana just because there are more latino people in those areas.

I actually think it's the opposite; the "latino culture" is usually VERY intollerant of homosexual behaviour.

I think that's why many people think it's easier and more accepting to be a hispanic tranny, than it is to be a hispanic gay boy.

(That is, that in many cultures where you see lots of TS's, that they are also the most anti gay. So, if you are going to be screwing around with guys, you better be a "female".... any form of female. PS there's a lot more to my theory than that, but that's for another day.....)
Actually, my (unsubtantiated) theory is that the macho latino male stereotype leaves no room for the effeminate male and thus polarizes more gays to be transsexuals.
