Never thought to do this.. I'm about to talk to my doctor ASAP

Read a medical journal that recommends using  this to avoid STDs. Take it within a few hours of questionable  contact. I have been using and no side effects.

I was in Baja for the 1000 years ago, travelling with an ER doctor from Utah, he was popping Docycicaline to avoid any issues with the Mex food down there. He didn't think there were any issues with taking it pro-actively

If it were to prevent gonorhea or Syphilis I think it would be a good thing.

When I would go to a country where they said we needed to take Doxy, we would be told to start a couple of weeks before going.  Another time when I was heading to Brazil, I got the Yellow Fever shot, but the airport still wouldn't let me go.  They said I needed to have the shot at least 3 weeks ahead of time.  The moral of the story is, to not wait till after you may need something, to get it.

About good for STDs, I never heard that about Doxy.  Might be good if you go to the Duck (DuckDuckGo.com) and check out Moringa.  It seems like a miracle drug.  I've used Moringa and Tiamina, might also be known as Thiamine for Malaria.  And yes, I hadn't heard of any side affects.

Though there was a pill that they said take once a week, that did have some very strange side affects.  One was when someone was missing and they found him swimming off shore.  He said he was heading home to America!  Another one was when someone was trying to catch a helicopter blade, while it was turning.  I would have to check with my Doc on what the pill was called.

Search Web MD for the article, it states that it is effective.

Anyone taking doxy as a replacement for using a condom is nuts. Will it reduce the transmission of some STI/STDs? Yes....but nothing viral. Plus, Doxy wreaks havoc with your microbiome if used often.

Just heard a doctor on TV  talk about this drug  and how it may be a game change against  STD's , not HIV but  others like G,S and C.

Huh? This drug has been around for ages .... how is it now a "game changer"??

I  have read various research studies where doxie was used in studies of sex workers and those who uses it with in 72 hour of exposure were 85% less likely to get infected once exposed to am STD.  Game Changer. Lots of good info  at the tips of your fingers.  READ!

My Dr spoke to me about Doxy on my last 3 months Prep checkup, she asked me if I wanted it prescribed also mentioned the same, if I thought I was exposed to an std to take two tablets within 72 hrs of exposure that I would be at less risk of getting anything.
