How’s the scene in major metros like LA and NY? Did everyone get their shots to stop the spread?
I can't speak for NYC, but LA is averaging around 2 REPORTED cases per day. Keep in mind Mpox is highly under reported. Clearly the cases have gone way down compared to where they were last year in LA. I don't plan on getting the small pox vaccine which is what mpox vaccine is, a better vaccine is being worked on. I would say it is "under control" but the risk is real if you're visiting TS sex workers whom you don't know their vaccine status.

I would not exactly call it "dead" but "dying" as vaccination rates have continued to increase. The seven day rolling average is between zero and one case per day being reported which is pretty low when just a year ago it was 40-50 cases. Remember most case go unreported. It's still a good idea to ask a partner their vax status (both doses).
