You might want to try good old 7-Eleven. They have a decent selection of phones with affordable price plans that are quite efficient for the time you will be here; you can also try Walmart too.
Petro Canada gas stations are all over the place. Have cheap reliable service. Or go to Wind Mobile and get a sim card to put into your phone while you are in Canada.
