The zona is under change and the holidays are approaching.  Traditionally we tell all mongers to be careful during the holidays.  The cops definitely seem to exert more pressure during the holidays to pay for holiday gifts.  Expect more searches.

There also used to be more scams and muggings during the holidays but muggings are way down with all the police in the zona.  I still find it hard to beleive that romantic26 was mugged, especially in broad daylight but if he was on the sidewalk alone where he said he was, it's possible.  In the past you would hear of a mugging every month or two. (that's just the ones mongers wrote about, there were many others)

Coahuila from Rev to Niños Heroes is just about done. Nice sidewalks, lights, an island in the middle of the street with more lights and palm trees.  Is this TJ or Beverly Hills?  The sidewalks are already looking a little dirty though.

The are now doing first street by the arch, east to the bridge.  They are using the same sidewalk design.  The weather is finally getting colder so the SG's are showing less skin.  Fridays and Saturdays continue to be crowded while other nights are pretty slow.

Most of the carts are still around but they have moved.  Many are by Pollo Bar on the corner of Coahuila and Niños Heroes and many are by CC.  One of the best burritos is the guy with the blue cooler who stands outside of AB and gets there between 4:30 and 5 AM every night.  A little small but only $1 and very tasty.
