Heard Ticuan is no longer open for business due to a fire.  Was wondering if anyone else knew of similar quality hotels within the same price range ($60ish) that is close to the Zona, and will be visited by escorts.

Also, has anyone stayed at a love motel for a couple days?  For example, Premier?  How is it there?

Hotel Ticuan should be open for business again sometime in April.

Hotel Velario on 1st ST (art 123) is just 2 blocks from zona not to mention escorts take dates there.

Would suggest Hotel Baja on 5th between Revolucion y Constucion.  Not in the shit part of town and more likely to get an escort to that hotel.  Price is more like $35 to $40.

Love motels don't want you leaving your room so not very practical for multiple day stays.

I am visiting this weekend so Ticuan is out of the question.  Still can't believe it's burnt haha.

Velario looks perfect.  Thanks for the tip!  Will be seeing one of your girls there soon.

Before the Ticuan was built the Villa Zaragoza (on Madero between 7th and 8th) was popular.  While it isn't as plush or new as the Ticuan IMO it is still a good choice for those wanting to stay downtown.

Years ago (before I started living in Tijuana) I found it very acceptable.  I never had a problem having a chica come to my room

Recommend against Velario. Its in an area that IMHO is too bad to walk around at night. I would stay at Ticuan's sister hotel Aqua Rio. Much better part of town and still close enough for a $3 carbide to HK...

I am not a fan of Aqua Rio, but it is much better than Velario, which is a shit hole. Walls are paper thin and the parking lot is hard to negotiate.  Hotel Baja has a similar location on 5th to Ticuan and away from the noise.

Stayed at Aqua just a few weeks ago. No frille, cheap, clean and no problems. It has no A/C so I think now is ok. I wouldn't stay there during the summer.

Question: why couldn't we request the chicas to dress down a bit so they can get into other hotels easier? I would even wait for them in the lobby and walk up with her if that helps. Kinda sick of limiting hotel choices. What y'all think?

Having girls look like they belong in the hotel or on a date is by the best suggestion I have heard. When in the States, I always have guys welcome me in the bar, the restaurant and it is just nice instead of having to sneak in a back door. I always take a piece of lingerie to change into and a good bottle of wine to have a no clock date. Just my style and thoughts, Kelley White

First, there are good hotels--like the Pueblo Amigo and Grand Tijuana--where you won't have problems taking a chica to your room.  (The Villa Zaragoza I mentioned above--although it is not as elegant as the Pubelo Amigos, Grand Tijuana, etc.--is a another place where you won't have problems taking a chica to your room.)

Second, it takes more than having a chica dress down to get her past the front desk in hotels that don't want prostitution of the premises.  Just having a chica go to the room of a hotel guest--especially if he's a Gringo--is enough for the front desk to know what is happening.  (They weren't born yesterday.)

What it comes down to is there are hotels/motels that allow prostitution on the premises and hotels/motels that do not want prostitution on the premises.  And hobbyists need to learn which is which to avoid problems.

I would think escorts would always dress like an office secretary.  Unless otherwise requested by the client they should always look professional
