So I recently signed up for SA. Being a basic member unable to e-mail anyone hasn't stopped a number of women from e-mailng me. What I find interesting is the number of women from far-flung areas that are sending me e-mails (Australia? British Columbia?). I can't help but think that these are either a) scams, b) fake, or c) cam or similar proposals. Maaaayyyyybe they're legit, but why would they write me? Why not someone far closer to them?

Is this typical? Or is this a come-on designed to get me to part with $$ for premium?

Have a lot of foreign or far away people favoriting me as well.. My, uh, favorite is the woman from Russia whose profile is entirely in Russion, who not only favorited me, but also e-mailed me. Anyone want to volunteer to translate?

So far, it has me questioning how many of the local messages I do have are legit and how many are fakes to get me to sign up. BTW, I'm in L.A., so lots of local women..

Nigeria looking for your bank account info so that they can transfer a million dollars into your account to pay for the transfer fee.

I think the lesson I've seen offered on here is that if you are going to play on SA, do it the right way, and pay

Virtually all the girls who have reached out to me first locally were hookers, and not very good ones at that, (otherwise, I'd be happy as I still like hookers) and I have ZERO interest in any woman living hundreds or thousands of miles away.

I believe most of the women from out of the country are either cam girls, or women trolling the boards looking for that "Whale" who takes a fancy to them, and I suppose there are a few other types of scamsters thrown in the mix. One of the scams I have run into a few times are women, very attractive women, who want to meet up very quickly with literally no back and forth or "vetting" of any kind on their part, you know the "too good to be true" type of message we all get from time to time but just before the actual meet is confirmed they want you to join some kind of "online web verification" service. I am not sure what the actual scam is, I suspect it's a phishing scam, but I have never been able to force myself into actually clicking on the link they provide. I am CERTAIN it's a scam, but exactly what kind of scam it is I am not quite certain.

As for the credibility of SA itself, I can vouch for the site, I have seen a few dozen different POT SB's and have very rarely not ended up in bed with the women I actually meet. I live in a very small city, about 100,000 in population and I can get enough action on SA to get laid virtually every day, which is pretty much what I am going for as I am kind of a pig where it comes to sex. I have a VERY healthy libido. I am sure that someone living in LA could quite easily get five dates a day, every day, for the rest of his life without ever having to repeat with the same girl twice if he so chose. You have literally thousands of women within just a few miles from you with more signing up each and every day.

All I can say about the fakes, scams, and mail order brides you will here from every day is to just skip over them and concentrate on the local women, If they "view" you first, I take that as a good sign. If they "favorite" you, that's an even better sign, but if they contact you first, I would advise using caution. There are a lot of hookers, catfishers and scamsters out there, the good ones don't have to make the first move.

I've been favorited and contacted by a number from out of the country.  I've replied to a few to see what's up.  Some of them want me to visit.  Though no one has asked for a plane ticket, I suspect that some would.  What I've seen mostly are women--keep in mind that the person at the other end may not really be female--selling photos, videos, webcam access, and that sort of thing.  A few, whether abroad or in the U.S., give a sad story about illness, debt, etc. and ask for a little money.  I've become wary of anyone located in a place where the city name and state name are identical (other than NY, NY), for example, Ohio, Ohio.  These tend to be foreigners who know nothing of U.S. geography or people not bright enough to fill out the SA registration form.

I've encountered some women who list a local city but last logged in from a foreign country.  Most of them seem like scammers.  OTOH, some women do really travel for vacation or work and are logging in from other countries.  I've done it too; when I did, I explained that I was on vacation.

I'm wary of women who contact me first.  They are over-eager and too often are scammers or simply money hungry.  That said, my best SB of the past 30 months took the initiative to write to me before I wrote to her.  So, use your judgment

I agree except for being cautions about those that send you a message first.  I've found some scammers among them to be sure, but many are sincere SBs truly looking for a SD.  They may be total newbies They may not realize that by contacting a guy first they are immediately suspected of being a scammer.  But many are quite sincere.

"most" of the women who reach out first are either not local (cam girl or whatever) or hookers. That doesn't mean they all are, but it's a high enough percentage to warrant caution.

Ironically enough, I had two local POT SB's reach out to me first yesterday. I am exercising caution as I advised others to do, but I am having a conversation with both although one is most definitely a hooker, keep in mind of course, I LIKE hookers.  The other I am not sure of yet, I suppose I should get back to talking to her instead of running my mouth here. lol

SA is quite legit as the girls are real, ignore girls from other states and countries. You can block if they look fishy, google reverse image search is your friend, most scammers use photos of models and girls from Instagram so it's easy to tell and even report them to SA admins.

Without premium, SA is just a tease, it's good to stay basic if you already have a POT to work on, it's best to exchange email or phone once you have met someone.
