I had the same scenario about 8 months ago. What happened was I got a contact on Twitter threatening me. Saying I watched an underage girl masturbate and she found my social media accounts. I reported it to Twitter and they took down their account. But I saw they had 3 others they were trying to blackmail and I think they got someone for 5k.
That seems a convoluted and complicated way to blackmail someone. And I'm not sure anyone could prove anything.
In any case it illustrates the importance of using anonymous email and phone numbers that can't be traced to you.
You handled this well, of course.
There are at least two scam plays that you avoided. First, the underage threats. You have the full message thread to show why you were viewing. Second, they might have been recording you on their side and would also blackmail you by threatening to release a vid of you naked and jerking off.

To prevent pics/vids of your dick from being posted on the internet - DO NOT TAKE PICS/VIDS OF YOUR DICK!
Even when I'm recoding one of my SB's performing on me, I ensure the cam never sees my face or schlong. And I never upload or share these with anyone.
