I beleive its time for me to give up the hobby. I've had close calls with stings from L.E. the x-wife had a outcall to my home and provider went to nighbors with same first name. I've a long career and I don't want to be remembered like the ball players that played one year too many. I'm starting my farewell tour and in Dec. I'm giving up the hobby.

Dear nutandbolt,
Yes, these are close calls indeed. I hope you will construct another productive sex life and that you will look back on your hobbying with nostalgic fondness in your golden years, rather than something you ended because of potential embarrassment and legal troubles.

Enjoy the farewell tour,
the Love Goddess

I stopped my hobbying about 3 months ago cold turkey.  The first month I craved it and now I really don't feel the need.  It gets easier with time.

I gave it up because I didn't want to spend the money any longer.  Financial change of priorities.

I don't want to start a trend, I'm hanging it up because I'm getting addicted to hobbing. I need to get it under control, but what a hobby I had a great time and I would like to thank every lovely lady i met.

Addiction is one of those words that gets bandied about without any one know what it means. The definition no longer has a meaning. Shrinks and psychobabblers use it unrelentingly and it has become an excuse for ANY behavior.

I mean they even have interventions now for shopping addictions?

Get real!

Social Suicide. YOU get real.  What are your credentials to knock this poster?  You disagree...so what?

As LG, not to mention many others that frequent this board have stated, what makes the Highway a great environment is that it's non-judgemental.

If you wanna haze somebody just because you're point of view differs, try the FAQ for Newbies board.  That's more their speed.

Take it easy, N&B.  Whenever you're ready and comfortable with coming back to the hobby, I'm certain there'll be at least one lady happy to welcome you back.

I wish I could quit.  How do you do it?  I would think that continuing to visit TER while trying to quit is like trying to fast while sitting in a restaurant.

Actually you can be addicted, to almost anything. What is an addiction, but the need of something that you could really live without.
Think about it this way unless you live in parts of Nevada, you could face problems with LE. But you do it anyway, you won't die if you don't. But for a little bit of time you are happy. But if you are caught you can face shame, LE, Divorce, but you still continue on. And if you don't believe in shopping addicts read the following story.
