Am I a dummy if I give my real number to a SB? I'm new to this.

You could do things all through SA since all the SB's have smart phones but I usually have moved to txt on my Iphone.
check the newbie board as the topic of burner phones versus messaging apps has been discussed extensively many times. Some options are apps such as hushed, google voice, whatsapp, and others. All depends on your situation and how techy you are vs the wife/SO.
xray84 explained to me how to use a burner app on your everyday phone so it serves both functions. I've never done it, I just use my everyday phone since I have nothing to hide. But it seems like a better alternative than carrying two phones, one of which you'd have a hard time explaining if your wife saw it.
Burner app on the phone is hard to explain too. Seems like a no win. Damn

I have the burner app on my phone and it is awesome. I love it. MUCH easier that having a 2nd hobby phone, which I had for a long time. You can bury the burner app in one of your folders so that it is not apparent from your home screen. IF someone were to get suspicious and discover it, you could just say that it is a free app that you downloaded one day and you have never used it. It has a numeric lock so no one would be able get into it and see the texts/calls except you. Highly recommend and it's only $5/month.

I have just reconnected with an SB that I used to see on a VERY regular basis, usually several times a week. She had some issues and I hadn't heard from her in a couple of months until just a couple of days ago. In the meantime she has broken her phone and SA text is the only way we have to contact each other until she gets another phone which I may or may not get for her.
AAR we were to get together last night, but she couldn't make it, she sent me a text that she would be by at 8 AM this morning, and sure enough at 8:03 this morning I had a knock at the door, by about 8:05 this morning we were in bed together. So yes, SA text can work, although it's a major PITA as far as I am concerned.
As for using your "real" phone, I only have one phone and I use it both for business and SB's, but I am divorced and already "out" I even use my real phone to schedule with hookers, so I am probably not the person to ask if you have anything thing to hide, or anyone to hide it from. I am one of the few people who simply couldn't care less who knows about either my whore mongering or my "sugaring" lol
