I took the advice of a poster on TER yesterday and posted a photo of myself with my profile.
Today, I see the profile of a student who will be in a class I teach starting next week.
I'd prefer not to be discovered on Seeking by my students!
Will removing the photo reduce my odds of finding an SB, or should I make the photo available privately?
I've received an email that states: "Your profile suffers from a limited experience"
Thanks.

Are you teaching high school or college?  Even if you make your photo private, which you probably should do, some of the SBs who read your profile and ask to see your photo may well be your students. Would you ever date a student?  If the answer is no, you may be in a tricky situation fending off advances from people you should not date.

I've gone with private photos only for a long time.  I added a pic from behind of me looking at a sunset.  That did increase my response rate.  But I'm in LA.  There's a ton of girls so replies were not a problem.

I teach grad students. As I live over an hours drive from campus, it's pretty easy to discern where they live, so I can probably avoid them. While I could date students who are not in my class, I'd still prefer not be discovered on SA.
I'll keep my photos private and share carefully.
Appreciate the advice.

You can blur your photo or keep it private, or use one that doesn’t show your face.
Still, you obviously know the risks of any type of dating of a student.
If I were in your situation I would only look for SBs 25 and older. After they graduate they are fair game!

I'm married so I have to keep my photos private.  Share them with whoever I select or whoever selects me.

Ditto here ... Photos are private.  I give access upon request but would pull permission to access after 7 days if no progress happens.
