I have found the same thing, I just got incredibly lucky that the first one I met worked out. I think I went out with the same blonde you did as my 2nd attempt on WYP and the extra weight was a deal-breaker, plus we didn't "click" at all. We talked about another date but my visit to the area ended and I was looking for better options so I guess I ghosted her.

Just like SA, WYP has nuances to how it works and how to get optimal results.
As I've previously mentioned, I have had and continue to have success on WYP. Not 100%, not even 60% of all connections result in BCD (at least once). But if you know how to read the profile and how to use the site well you can improve your success rate.
First lesson: If she's asking for the full salad bar of dating types, pass. Many women either don't know what to expect from the site or are worried that only selecting SD/SB will make them look like a slut. So they check every option and hope for Prince Charming to come along. Look for profiles where SD/SB is the only option checked, or at least one of only 2 to 3 options. They are more likely to engage in an open negotiation.
Second lesson: Just like SA, look for the right combo of factors in her current life; occupation, education, stated body type vs what's in her pics, and number of pics in the profile. Look for the factors that tend to place her in the sweet spot of women that need some cash, are open minded to casual sex, and who have a fairly pragmatic approach to problem solving.
Third lesson: Keep your offer low ($75 to $125), and almost always counter anything over $150. If she offers something ridiculous like $500 or more, either reject it outright or (if you really want to send a message) counter ridiculously low ($25). If she accepts your counter or at least counters much lower than her original ask, she's willing to negotiate to meet you and probably sees potential from a SD/SB arrangement with you. Never accept/make an offer over $150 ($200 if she's extraordinarily hot and all else looks promising).
