it can get hard just taking the pill.  I dont have ED, but still like to take the pills.  more than one time,  I got super hard after the pill by just thinking the ladies in my mind, it wont happen to me without pill at my age. once it get hard, it becomes harder and harder and wont go soft.  it was very embarrassing walking out of the car to her room.  I also prefer V over others, it gave less side effects.
