appreciated.  Thanks.

With regard to the inquiries, I'm not sure whether to feel complemented or insulted, but I choose to feel complemented.  My own daughter is an outstanding journalist (and even as a child wowed 'em with an 800 Verbal score on the SAT, followed by another 800 on the SAT II Writing Test - pardon the bragging by this proud Dad), but I have always felt that she got her "good writer" genes from her mother, my wife of thirty years.  My opinion is that when I get serious about a subject, my writing tends too often toward an "essay" style.  But even if there was a consensus that my posts were publication quality, I would not pursue that - I will leave the published writing to my daughter.

Thirty years of marriage, childrearing, reading, and much, much mentoring of younger people have led me to form some theories about family and relationship dynamics.

I will continue to post my views on a wide variety of subjects, not limited to parent-child relationships.  I thought the suggestion that those who do not wish to read my posts should simply do just that was a good suggestion.

Cheers,
TruthSpeaker
