Why is no one outraged about Nelly grabbing his crotch or

Justin humping Janets ass all the way across the stage just before he exposed her tit?

Why don't these instances of sexual inuendo, all too common on every day TV, even driving down the street, upset anyone the way the bare breasted Janet has?
Take a look at the young boys holding onto their little weiners as though they were trying to wiggle out of the pants and chase the first young pretty down the avenue. How about a dance where the girls back up their ass, with their face nearly touching the floor, to the youngster she's dancing with?
How about the hump jump? You know the one where the guy bounces across the floor with his pelvis thrust forward.

Where is the outrage, where is Billy Graham and John Ashcroft on these disgusting public practices?

A bare breast is just that. Grabbing ahold of your privates, even if you are clothed, is much more sexual than just a naked body part.

IMO, it is much better for a child to witness a naked body part than to watch a woman give a banana a facsimile of a BJ.
It is much better to see a bare butt than to see someone dry humping someone else.

PS.
Just because I do some of these things IN THE PRIVACY OF MY F#$KIN BEDROOM, doesn't make me a hipocrit!

I for one, didn't like watching the halftime show with my 8,10 and 14 year old kids. Nelly of whatever his name is just screamed and grabbed his crotch (center of his talent). And Justin and Janet humping like newlyweds just wasn't the family entertainment we had hoped for during the largest televised sproting event of the year. No I am not a prude, but this ain't cable or PPV this is prime time Sunday evening when a lot of kids are watching.

The announcement that the FCC would launch an investigation into the exposure of Janet Jackson's breast during the half-time show at the Super Bowl follows two other recent incidents in which female pop stars have raised cultural, and sometimes governmental, ire:

-- In Afghanistan, the country's Supreme Court protested the TV broadcast of footage of the pop singer Salma, in which she sang and danced, as un-Islamic.

-- In Indonesia, an Valentine's Day concert by Mariah Carey has prompted concern that her sexy outfits might offend the sensibilities of the predominantly Muslim country.

And back at home, while we are facing a potential trillion dollar deficit, the Federal Communications Commission has announced that it will spend our money to determine how Janet Jackson's boob was seen by the Super Bowl audience.

Look at Europeans, they are very sexual.

The one thing I agree is that it was wrong to do at the Superbowl.

How many kids were watching.

We are in a day and age were we need to teach our children about sex. And with that, about the pros and cons.

America is such a closed closet country when it regards sexual issues.

Its time to change. Everyone is afraid of government and religion. (Even though they are both the liars, the cover ups, the scandal.)

Uggghhh... don't even get me started...Shaye

My kids were watching.  Big deal, they saw a boob!  They thought it was funny, a little interesting and they have moved on.  They can't even understand what the fuss is about?

You are right Shaye, America is way, way too uptight about sex and nudity.

if their heads had blown off-  that's OK we're americans!

violence is OK
Sex is bad

such a bru-ha-ha on this in the middle of a game which features grown men doing their best to injure the players on the other team! Don't get me wrong, I do like football (baseball is even better) but the violence involved is far worse than a bare breast (and hers wasn't even displayed that well!!!). IMHO.

Recently spent two years in Europe. How enlightening when it comes to sexual issues. Remember going to health club where the sauna was mixed sexes every other day...sat stark naked opposite a mother and her 14 year old daughter who were equally naked. No one gave a thought to it. Half time show was done for shock value that only works here in US. Once took family trip with 6 year old daughter to a club med. The beach was topless and a totally nude beach was right next door. Never said a word to my daughter and she said nothing as well for the week. People here believe showing the human body to children is wrong because that is what they were taught and that is what they teach.

Not a prude ...  or even close to it - in fact, I've been a dirty old man since I was 12 ... and very proud of it.  I've made a career out of being just exactly the kind of guy you'd never bring home to meet Mom.

In my opinion, Janet Jackson is as close to you can get to 'no one' and still be in the news for reasons that defy explanation.

The reason I care is because it was just plain WRONG.   It's just a case of someone saying "what thing can we do that still shocks people?"   for no other reason THAN to shock them.

SOME ONE ... SOME WHERE ... SOME TIME ... has to decide if something is APPROPRIATE ... otherwise everything becomes appropriate in any circumstance.

If society has no decency, how will us indecent people differentiate ourselves?  If society has no morals, how will us immoral people sink below it all?

Where the hell is all this outrage when Madonna (who is a mother mind you) tongue kissed 2 young girls on Nationwide TV. And yes children were watching that also.

They are out to lynch Michael Jackson without even knowing if he's guilty or not but Woody Allen can screw his underaged adopted daughter, then marry her no less.

Roman Polansky straight raped an underaged girl. He didn't just molest like the others. He sexually assaulted the child.

Catholic priest are molesting young boys and not one is in prison and these are supposed to be men of god.

Where is all this outrage then.

Actually at least 1 priest was in prison. His cellmate beat him to death.

I agree that those instances of inuendo you mention are just as bad. To me it's not that her tit was exposed, it's the way it was exposed (Justin ripping her clothes off). Even if the pasty that suppossedly was suppossed to be there was there, it would have been just as inappropriate. Simulating sex while clothed is just as inappropriate. I'm no prude either, but there is a time and a place. I have no problem with nudity, it's the exhibition of sex and especially sexual violence that is so prevalent that I have a problem with.
At a nude beach the sickos aren't the nude bathers, it's the jerks that go there to oggle that have the problem. If that's what you want to do go to a strip club. That is the appropriate place for such behavior. Not on the TV or or at the beach.

For crying out loud, it's the TUDE! MALE RIPPIN A FEMALE.  What do 12 year old girls have to look forward to when it comes to dating?

BDSM and like similies are FINE when consensual. And we adults know the difference.  In this case, we ADULTS KNOW that Justin and Janet were consensual, but do the kids know?

If the kids on this planet are led to think that it is 'COOL' with rippin clothes off a female, well, then I elect to be the first woman to live on Mars and stay there.

I have been living in this country somehow deluded (?) into thinking this is one of the safest places on the planet.  Also, I thought somehow that America was one of the safest places to raise children these days.  I have friends from Armenia and Russia who came here to raise their children, in particular, their daughters thinking that they are in relative safety only to now be assaulted with this.

No, it's NOT ABOUT A BOOB.

I don't post much, but jeez, my spanish italian ire is up.

A breast is not just a breast.  There is practiclly no sexual arousal from just plain bare breast and there can be a lot of arousal from inuendo.  You've got to remember that the brain is the primary sex organ.  It's all in the way you think about it which is very relative to the way it is presented to you.

I've been on nude beaches with somewhere near a hundred or so naked women lying in the sun.  A similar number of men are walking around with no hard ons.  Yet there high up on the bluff above the beach are a couple of guys staring down with binoculars at the naked women and gettin all shook up.  Strange.

We have seen so much crotch grabbing that it has become commonplace and has lost shock value.  I question whether it ever had arousal value.  Oddly enough when things are not available to look at the curiosity goes up.  For instance, I traveled to Muslum countries a few years back and saw an interesting phenomenon.  In the night when they thought no one was looking guys were caught masturbating while looking a unclothed (I hesitate to say naked) manequins in a store window!  Not only were they arrested, so was the clerk who left the manequins in that condition in the store window.

I remember when I was 17 years old (eons ago, lol) and walking past a car parked on a street in Chicago.  A man was masturbating and looking right up at me, looking for my shock response.  Thank God I knew better and walked on.

Six months ago at my gym, another selfproclaimed studly self was jerking off on the cardio equipment just behind mine, hoping to get response from the reflection he knew he caused in the window.  No gobble.  Next day he tried the same, and I told him before he engaged that in no uncertain terms was he to try this stunt on ANY female in the gym again (without asking her to be a part of it, i.e. consensuality). He chose to keep on keeping on, and his membership was terminated, or should I say, he was dismembered?

This is ALL about nonconsensuality.

Isn't this how the ladies in this business justify our presence?  CONSENSUALITY?

Someone asked, "so is nonconsensuality a bad thing?"

Yes! Yes, it is.  Non Consensuality is Hell.

At least Beyonce did a nice rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.

And a REAL talent like Josh Groban was relegated to the pre-game show. I saw him at the Shrine Friday night and that kid has more talent in his little finger than any of the clowns who took center stage.

I haven't heard a single public utterance of dismay that a man would cut a hole in an American flag then wear it upside down and backwards like a poncho...

Nevermind taking it off halfway through the performance, wadding it up into a ball and tossing it to someone behind him.

I did see two hot chicks come out soon therafter with properly held flags waving, so I assume he wasn't meaning to be an incredible idiot...

If Janet Jackson wanted to bear her breasts so bad, she should have done like her sister Latoya and graced the pages of Playboy.  Considering all the hoopla surrounding her brother, this ill-advised stunt really was asinine.

No matter what he does musically in his career, he will always be known more for banging Pamela Anderson.  His remake of "Feel Like Makikn Love" makes me appreciate more what a great singer Paul Rodgers and a great band Bad Company were.

But all that doesn't stop women from chasing after him.  What does that tell you?

No matter how ugly a rock star is, they will always have groupies waiting to f^&k them.

CBS and the NFL owned the responsibility for the half time show.

As most of you know, the SB is the most watched event on TV (by a long shot).  It is watched by a broad cross section of the population and a high # of 18-25 males.  The 18-25 male demographic is "critical" to the advertisers -- viewership is down.

The entertainment picked for the half time show was completely oriented to the 18-25 male demographic.  It was a stupid choice because it upset a lot of the other viewers and put the whole franchise (the SB) at risk.   It would have been easy for people to pick a half-time lineup that would not have had so many negatives.  After all, CBS will NOT lose the 18-25 demographic for the SB but could easily lose other segments of the viewership because of this mistake.

CBS has a year to live it down, but my bet is that there will be some heads that roll in Viacom over this.

Unfortunately, those responsible at Viacom will most likely get hefty bonuses given the amount of press Janet Jackson's naked boob got. As they say,..."there is not such thing as bad publicity." These people are looking at appealing to the lowest common denominator and it appears they have suceeded beyond their wildest dreams.

IMHO, we are at the ending stages of the "modern" empire. Hello, barbarians!

DUH!!!!!

Jae, could not agree more. Actually, the anger should be at the NFL for not paying attention, or at the very least, not watching MTV. The crotxh grabbing, etc, is sort of de rigeur there.

As a friend of mine pointed out, in Brazil, and much of Western Europe, you would have gotten to see Janet's left breast as well. In Italy, you could have seen the full monty. Then again, I thought the Confederacy lost the war. Shows you what a fool I am.
