I've noticed that some providers offer one rate here on TER and a different rate on their website.  No discount involved or outcall rates.  Just a basic incall service.

I try not to discuss rates with providers to be respectful and not negotiate rates, but what's the best way to know the true rate?  I recently booked a provider based on her TER rates...then found out at the last minute that the rate was truly the higher amount per her website. Very confusing.

Just curious how others handled this situation

...When booking a provider, you can ask whether all the information in her TER profile is accurate.

And you can also do what some hobbyists here are fond of doing - if she's out of your price range, don't search for someone else - try to negotiate, negotiate, negotiate the more pricey provider down to a lower rate and ask her for an OTC dinner afterwards.  Hey, you never know, Shatner is 84 so the way some guys brag about negotiating, they could be in line to be the next

You should always go by a providers website.Hopefully she keeps that better updated than her ter profile.
Some providers do not keep their TER profile up to date and there might be old rates posted.
Also I would mention to the provider that her rates are different here than on her website and ask which one is correct.
This way you make sure you have the correct rate and it is not awkward if there is a misunderstanding on rates.

jaydalee nailed it.  Something simple and innocuous as "I noticed the rate/donation/whatever was different between x and y"  Don't even mention the said amounts just inquire as to which is correct.

Keep in mind however that with traveling girls they can have different rates between different cities simply due to the local market.  In that case I always tend to default to their current ad.

I have also seen one rate on their website, then they will post a different rate on the current ad board or the local board here. It is a bit confusing at times. I now mention that i saw a "special" they posted on the current ad I saw on xyz site.

Many girls in p4p will negotiate with you and not find it disrespectful in the least. I find that their "public" rate is just a starting point.

When I see many different rates like you mention, I assume the lowest one and then contact her about it. Sometimes there will be a rate not advertised, as maybe she is having a bad month and needs money quickly.

No way most dudes can keep up with all the rates on every ad so I just hit the girls up. Usually works out to everyone's advantage.

as I have different rates for touring as I do in Las Vegas.

I asked a provider about her rates to makes sure that I would have correct amount for her when she got to me. She didn't get back to me on the day we were suppose to meet until 3 hours after the time we were suppose to meet telling me that she would not meet with me because of I asked her about her rate. Now what is a guy suppose to do put the wrong donation out and have the girl mad about that. Maybe I should of done that at lest I would of been able to meet with her.

Lets say the girl is showing two rates. One is $400/hr and the other is $325.

Why not just email and say, "Hello Madison, I see you offer a $325 rate. I'd like to see you and here is my verification info..."

The rule is, you don't talk about "money and sex" at the same time. Talking about her rate is NOT the no no that some people try to make it out to be.

Better to find out before the exchanged fee than after.

Introduce yourself and inquire about the time and day you are interested in meeting.
Complete screening process and request.
Then confirm the correct rate if you are in doubt.

After you have been screened/verified, there shouldn't be any problem about that conversation. Accept that for some people it ruins the fantasy. Negotiation really ruins the fantasy...and the mood...and probably, unintentionally, the quality of service. my two cents.

How lame/clueless can dudes be? it doesn't take a genius to compare this with automobiles. Go to a car company web site and you see a MSRP. That is the price posted on an escort personal web site. However walk yourself into the local dealership and you'll see a different (most likely lower) price. That is the price posted on TER, BP or other P4P web sites.  

The latter cases take into consideration current market supply/demand and/or fluctuation including factoring in level of competition. The former do not.

I agree. If I am scared to talk about rates after I screen a guy, probably should not be seeing him. Now, I don't want a long email trail of sexual acts being talked about, but that's just for privacy purposes or in case an email gets hacked... it has been known to happen.  

You would be amazed at just how many guys have saved our conversations for YEARS and then contacted me asking if I remember them, and included that exchange. I find that very offputting that someone would keep info. that freaking long. I don't need a record of every damn thing I have said to so and so, which is why I don't bother keeping shit.

Local rates are almost always lower, and touring rates are almost always higher. The touring rates are higher when a lady tours to help cover the cost of travel, hotels, rental car, uber, cabs, extra towels, lubes and other personal supplies she cannot fly with, food and more.  

If you look here on most ladies TER profiles, you will find the posted rates are their LOCAL RATES. Not their touring rates. Be sure to check their personal websites or P411 TOURING Ads for the correct donation amounts.
