Ok so, I had a gentleman trying to schedule a session. He provided two references and the references didn't check out because they weren't good but because the providers in question that he used as references are known for keeping poor records or their dates.

He offered to send me a pic but to be honest, that's too much responsibility for me to accept. So I usually decline that offer and, since he did provide references and he sounded fairly honest over the phone, I decided to agree to meet him. A couple of hours later I get a cancellation from that person, due to not accepting his photo as a screening tool.

Seriously? I thought I was being discrete by not forcing people to provide a pic. I would think most people would prefer not to have a pic of theirs on some stranger's phone. Or is this a fairly common screening practice? Some feedback would be appreciated on both sides of the table.

I can see where he's coming from. Seems he got concerned that you went ahead without verified references and without anything else other that your gut feeling. It wasn't because you didn't demand a photo, but that you didn't require anything other than he sounded "honest" on the phone.

Can you understand how that could have been a concern for the guy?

he either just wanted a dumb reason to cancel or his feelings were hurt when you rejected his photo.

rejection comes in so many shapes and sizes. we never know which rejection hurts a man just like they never know which 5% of our non stop mouth we really need them to listen to.

Then how did it come to be that he sent you his pic? What prompted him to do that?

from the beginning of our communication he wanted me to have his pic as part of the process.

you are right. I should have just accepted the pic and told him how handsome he was lol. I was just trying to keep his privacy intact.

I am inclined to go along with BPS on this one. I don't think it was the pic at all, i think he just used it as an excuse. If it weren't the pic, it would have been some other lame excuse.

Also guys who've only seen a couple of girls do tend to be a bit skittish, they seem to get nervous and flake out for all sorts of minor issues. We try to hold their hands and reassure them that there aren't boogeymen under every hooker's bed, but they see cops and scams everywhere, even with women with ten pages of reviews. It's no wonder that many women are not "newbie friendly"

I think they teach that in "hooker school" because every time I see someone new, it seems like they look for something to complement me on.

The 2nd or 3rd time they don't say shit. LOL

For me I have a hard time believing a provider complement. I just figure that she us being nice to me about how good I was and how much she enjoy herself. I am ok with that, it does make me feel good at the time. But when she walks out the door I know that the next guy that she visit she is telling him the same thing.

You may have figuratively dodged a bullet there...

Maybe he was some hideous deformed freak and he needed you to accept his grotesqueness before he made the trip over and got rejected or kicked out.
