Perusing the EROS-NY guide, as well as some other sites, I've noticed that some providers have pics taken in the bathroom. Not while actually using the facilities, but I'm still looking for those. And will report back ASAP when i find one.
That strikes me as an interesting aesthetic choice, and it might even have relevance to OFF's post earlier about what constitutes wholesome/unwholesome in a provider pic [It better. I sat on this one for several days, thinking it was too juvenile even for my questionable standards. TY, OFF, for opening the door to this one].
So, what message, if any, does a provider convey when she's posed in the bathroom? That you might have a crappy time? [Ouch]. That's she's really neat and clean and hygenic and well-groomed? [Certainly a welcome message]. That she's imaginative and can look beyond the standard budoir poses and settings?
Personaly, I have no probs with a bathroom pic. The bathroom is highly undervalued. It's absolutely essential, it's got an honest functional/utilitarian aspect to it which no amount of interior dcorating tarting up can disguise. Unless you're the parent of small children, it's always quiet and private. By necessity, it's got to be kept clean and tidy. Great for reading. I get the inspiration for many of my posts in that very room, and mentally begin to compose a good number of them while in there.
I'm curious about the technical challenge for the photographer. Given that many of the surfaces are enamel, porcellin, ceramic, chrome and stainless steel -- all highly reflective materials -- does this pose any challenge for determining the light balance?
So anyway, wholesome, unwholesome, some other message entirely, no message, you don't give a rat's ass as long as she's at least a solid 9/9, etc.. whattaya think?

The bathroom has the most light, therefore affording the best chance of a good shot.

I took some pictures years ago for a provider to post on CL and we found that the best lighting was in the bathroom. Of course, a real photographer would bring a lighting kit and get some great shots of the gal provocatively draped over the bed etc, etc....I was just seizing the moment with my el cheapo digital camera....
that's where you get the inspiration for your posts make sure they ain't sh*tty......LOL!

Absolutely. The pic has a wonderful sense of composition, but it could be lit better. And you certainly dress it up considerably!

Yes it was with my little digital camera. And you are right. The lighting at the Venetian is terrible. I've gone to all photos with my own camera. I have not been happy with professional shoots for several reasons. So, now my photos aren't perfect as far as lighting and composition but they do better reflect me in a more real and natural way. In fact I've just added a bunch to my blog and I am letting my visitors vote on the ones that will make my site.
is nice in keeping the warmth of the feeling. It makes me think that I am there, the evening is long, and we've just returned from a night out. She is getting ready for bed, and wishes to fulfill my fantasy and so she quickly adjusts her eye shadow... while keeping the lighing subdued..... My anticipation builds... and she turns around, comes from the bathroom adjust... and now focuses her attention on me... and my anticipation...
While I do prefer a frontal shot - this photo highlights Heather's legs - as well as making her seem warm and inviting.... So, I've no problems with this pic... however,
My fave? the little black dress.... a special request - which drew lots of stares... as well as a complement from the wait staff at a restaurant. (but then again, it was worn by Heather)..... and this photo, could have been taken after the little black dress came off.... ahhhhhh memories.

yes, a very symetrical post-modern, ecletic look, right on axis from the point of view.
I too failed to notice a bathroom... Great photo. Only I know I've been in that hotel, somewhere.
I just don't find the bathroom sexy. Sure a lady covered in soapy bubbles can be really hot but that's about it.
Just posing in the bathroom really does nothing for me.
and the main one is that a mirror can be used to show more than one perspective.
There may also be a bit of carry over from adolescent urge to peep that makes the setting appealing. I have a nice tub I shoot people in but as you say, then its bubbles, etc.
Of course, it might just have been Heather's ass....

bathroom that picture, and any picture of her in ANY room, could not be anything but sexy. She is one hot lady. Really carrie, that sounds like sour grapes or a reason to get your link out, perhaps? Heather you have great legs and ass by the way 
of her in the bathtub... there is just something about the autoeroticism of that picture that does it for me.... Laney is certainly a very sexy, funny lady... who is just incredible... but that picture says that she likes to enjoy herself as well.... Wow, what a lady.
If you are refering to the picture of Laney from behind looking out the shower window I have to agree with you. That picture is the best bathroom picture I have seen. Of course all her pictures are hot. Someday ....If I'm lucky...
