a quart of pineapple juice about six hours before.  it also helps to lay off meat, smoking and alcohol for about a day before the main event.  if you get hungry, augment with more pineapple and other fruits and sweet legumes (i love that word) like sugar peas.  you might also want to "empty the tank" at least once before the main event--gets rid of residual bitter stuff.  bonne chance!

I can't find any reference to pineapple juice, only cranberry juice...  Let us in on the secret - whatever it is...

I dated a guy for a couple of years, who never ate anything but meat and potatoes.  He could barely stand vegetables, and he wouldn't eat fruit if his life depended on it (how he remained in such good shape, was mind boggling to me).   But - he had the sweetest tasting come I've ever had in my mouth.   He also rarely drank alcohol, nor did he smoke.

I've heard honeydew is good and stay away from asparagus and coffee to be sweet. Does anyone know of any other tips? Also, how long in advance must something be eaten to have an effect?
