He and all his family and relatives are safe -- evacuated early north, then moved elsewhere to stay with some relatives....  Their homes are likely free from flooding, as they all live higher up, but looting could still happen....

Such a relief....  Other friends I've talked to still haven't heard from their N.O. friends -- but have faith they are probably fine.... it's been hard for them to communicate, and firstly need to talk with family and N.O. friends, and their business colleagues, etc.
