I sent a message to a provider asking for her two hour rate. She responded with a price. So I set the appointment week and half out. A day before the date I sent a message for confirmation.  She responds and raises it by $100. I told her no thanks. What would you have done?

They are just lot lizards and need the quick appointments so they don't get kicked out of their Section 8 housing rentals.

I would have sent her a reply telling her that she's on your DNS list.

I would have responded with:

Only $100? are you sure? I was thinking it over and was going to offer you $300 more because I thought your exquisite beauty deserves that much more. Unfortunately now I cannot in good conscience go through with the date anymore knowing I will be short changing you $200. Bye

although this interjection  may be preceded by the adverb "Fuck" as in "Fuck no" or "Hell" as in "Hell no". In more polite society it may be followed by a noun, as in "No thanks".

Grammar aside, the meaning and the response is the same.

Of course I (and a whole bunch of others) agree with escalade too on this one.

It was going to be a two hour date.

A simple: "no thank you I would have passed", without the offensive generalizations would have been a more than sufficient answer.  

"Go fuck yourself, and do it today!"

I'd have done exactly what you did.
More often than not the appointments made that far out benefit the provider, allowing better scheduling for her

business ethics is often something you cannot learn , you either have it or you do not

I made an appointment w/a provider for 2 hours @ 8 roses only to be find out a week later her rate went up to 1000 for the hour I emailed asking of the original rate was still good only to be told sorry no. Needless to say I won't be seeing her

A girl posted here on TER that she was running a special of XXX (which was less than her standard rate).  The post had no mention of when the special ended.

I phone her up the same day her ad posted.  Scheduled an appointment for the very next day, in the evening.

So, that next day, in the afternoon, she calls me and says she can't make it.  She wants to reschedule, so we agree to make it the next day.

So, on the next day, she calls me in the afternoon to confirm and get my address.  She asks me: "Do you know what my rate is?"  I say: "Sure, it's XXX, the special in your ad."

Her reply?  "Oh, sorry, that special ended yesterday. It's back to my higher, standard rate of YYY."  

But, like a dumb shit I accepted the terms.  (Big mistake, something like that will never happen again.)  Well, the session did not go well (which had nothing to do with the rate charged), and that was reflected in the review.

It's clear the provider is just trying to screw you out of extra money. In my case, it was a "Oh BTW my rate is going to be higher" also done the day before the date. These last-minute raises are done because the provider thinks you will just agree rather than cancel the date. I also cancelled the date and I also stopped seeing the provider, who had been a weekly regular for almost a year. Overtime I did start talking to the provider again, but the relationship never returned and she never returned to being a regular of mine. She knew that being greedy cost her in the end, but never owned the mistake. Some of these providers are funny like that.

It's an easy no when it's a first session. What's worse is when it's a supposed atf. I lost two atfs last year because they upped their ante 150, and I said no thanks. Whatever happened to grandfathering? With the advent of 500/hr, grandfathering is a thing of the past. Actually, one lady agreed to grandfather me. But when I try to set something up, she's always busy, so it's the same thing.

If she is going to pull a fast one like that, do you really think the session will be good even if she accepts what she originally quoted.  I would walk away regardless.

I suppose we can chalk this up to the blind squirrel phenomenon, because I agree completely.

I never short a provider, never haggle or try to negotiate, my envelope is always correct. I also don't tip.  

I would have given her the chance to move forward at her original stated rate, if not then I'd have cancelled and jacked off to porn.
