TER General Board

TER has been trying to ram this down our throats for months now

Today I checked my email and a message from TER support was in my imbox. They are recomending this new ap called Lux Verify. Have any of you used it before? Is it safe? Should I get it or not?

So far the verdict has been "meh"

I don't know anyone who uses it and I have less than zero interest in using it myself.

Ford had the Edsel, Sony had the Beta Max, TER has Lux verify.

Somehow I think having an app for prostitution isn't wise. LE could use it to prove intent. Those that aren't out to there family could be outed should the little lady find it on your phone. It sounds risky.

Post on your local board to find out if any providers use it for screening.  I did that on the Atlanta board - got zero positive responses.  I did get quite a few negative responses from the providers.

My opinion is that the rest of it does not matter if you can't use it.

Am amazed that TER would allow your post to be posted.  Have tried a few times to call them on some of their management practices and they refuse to approve my posts.

Let's see if this one gets posted.

... but in the end, like someone on this thread said, the service will either be worth it or not.  I do like who they have as spokes-models tho lol.  Somebody good a good grade in Marketing 101.

and I have a hard time imagining who might actually "need" an app that appears to do nothing more than the services most of us already pay for. Another hobby-related expense? Another place my info is stored? No thanks!!

I don't mix screening and review sites. Very few girls will give a reviewer a bad reference when they know it can easily earn them a career-killing review and toxic backchannel.

For that reason, I'd never trust an OK on a site recommended or endorsed by TER. I feel the same about whitelists...some guys have more blacklists than whitelists!! Some of the most notorious bastards in hobby history were heavily whitelisted. That says to me, that girls just gave the OK rather than make waves...

I check and pay for three months and cannot find one single provider in NYC, I try Vegas and the same, is a shame that TER recommended such garbage
