When do (a few) tattoos become many?

Arizona Angel2342 reads

I feel when they lose their significance or importance they are not worth having. Also a few can become many when they are not tastefully laid out or done properly...just a thought from a girl who has "a few"

I hate "tats" on women, but especially the ones near their breasts.... I had one with a tattoo near her pussy that was gross... needless to say, no return visits.

Most Tatoos are ugly anyway and these so-called 'artists' need to be pistol whipped. My  2 cents.

i'm with you.  Except I somehow liked the one on NetM- go figure..

I don't mind a tasteful atristic tatoo.  But I agree with you, most of the "artists" doing it should be painting houses instead.

As far as I'm concerned, any number is OK as long as they're well done.  I have seen some beautiful sleeves as well as ones covering the whole back, and loved them.  A nice piece on the lower back is great.  A little something on the ankle or shoulder blade can be quite attractive.  I have also seen some complete body suits on both men and women that just blow me away.  But when I see some man's name on their knuckles or Harley Davidson on their chest that shows when they wear a low cut blouse, those are tacky.  Men should also be a little more selective as well.  A tatto for the sake of a tatto usually doesn't look good.  Some serious thought needs to go into the selection process for something that will be there for a lifetime.  And just in case you're wondering, I do not have any myself.

In general, I do not get the tatoo issue. A woman with really great skin/body does not need the 'art' put on her (at least for me). It is kinda like trying to improve on a great work of art that just did not need to be improved.

I have two modest and strategically placed Butterfly tattoos.  Last year, after I gained ten pounds, a hobbyist suggested that my Butterflies were becoming Pterodactyls.  :-)  That was all the motivation I needed to get on a diet and turn them back into Butterflies.

The most important number is the number of tattoos divided by the number of teeth. When it is greater than 1 you can bet that the providers only clients will be on Harleys.

I know there are somehacks out there. Believe me I know. You have to take into consideration that tattoos actually mean something to the people that have em. Mine is a somewhat spiritual story. I have been involved in several near miss incedents where I wasn't exactly okay, but I walked or in a few cases got carried away (ie car wrecks, motorcycle wreck, freak livestock hurdle accidents...lol) In any case I have always been drawn to Koi fish. I happen to think the are beautiful and they always gave me a sense of peace. So after learning they were good luck via a jade bracelet that was given to me I began the procedure. Every "near miss", every "white light at the end of the tunnel" I get a fish. And damn are they pretty when swimming back an forth especially the one on my ASS!!!

I agree with Arizona Angel, I carry a "few" myself. Mine are symbols of my spiritual beliefs and are a reminder to me how far up the mountain I have climbed and how far I have to go. If they are created by the person who carries them, not just picked out of a book on a whim they always have a meaning to that individual. Location is always hard to choose since we are all judged unfairly on our appearance being a visual and overly judgmental society. Mine are on the inside forearms, right arm is to do with dealing with adversitys in life, left arm is for personal and spiritual growth and understanding. Next time you feel put off by a attractive womans tattoo ask her what the "ink" means or symbolizes, you might be surprised at what you are told.
