TER General Board

Take a broader view.

When I started on TER a couple of years ago, it seemed like the popular providers were having new reviews every week or two.  Now, every few days, I'll take a look at providers I've reviewed, and the last review any of them had was from September. I know they're more active than that.

Has the pace of reviews on TER slowed?

I seriously doubt the pace has slowed.

Let's see how many reviews there are an hour or two after this is posted.

I doubt the pace has slowed, but reviews for some providers tend to slow as they start hitting 100 reviews. Some providers ask that no more reviews be written because they don't want to be viewed as too prolific in P4P.

Almost all of the providers you've reviewed have at least several dozen reviews. I've noticed in general that as a provider gets more and more reviews, the rate of new reviews tapers off.  Maybe because "everything has already been said", so the only ones writing reviews for them are those looking for VIP days, or maybe they just enjoy writing reviews.  I don't tend to write reviews for extensively reviewed providers unless I can add something new to what's already been said.

Way too much drama. Plus with my issues I don't think it would be fair to the lady. But even if that wasn't so I have had to deal with way too much drama to be worth my while, at least on TER.

I agree.  I have written a few good, but not great, reviews and had my head handed to me by the reviewed provider.  One lady recently, in a private email, told me that I should be ashamed of myself because this is how she puts food on her family's table.  How that is relevant to her performance/logistics is beyond me.

On reviews, I am out.

...around so that it seems there are fewer reviews.  In the first 8 years of TER, there were 100,000 profiles.  In the next 8 years, 200,000 more profiles were added.  Of course, there are a lot more hobbyists too so maybe I'm just full of shit.  It sure wouldn't be the first time.

I am thinking although you have notice a lag for most providers when they get to a certain amount, would providers in major cities tend to get more reviews than those who live in areas that are not as well populated? Maybe the next thing we should do is look in certain cities where providers would come across more of a cross section of new clients.  Also something else to consider is with sites popping up all the time. that would be less demanding of personal information for purposes of verification I am also believing that the pool for possible hobbyist on this level would be decreasing.  Thus the opportunities for upscale providers to get new reviews would be decreasing as well unless they tend to travel extensively to where they would increase their odds of encountering new clients more often.

That's actually not a bad idea and as long as the "free" VIP  days were not dependent on 10/10 reviews it might worki knew you weren't just another pretty face with a great rack LOL😘

they would seek out more of them.  Then the review system could be FUBAR'd in its entirety.  LOL
