I file my first extension in April, my second extension in August and actually do my taxes in late September or early October. and I am always nice to my CPA. She is stuck with me until one of us dies, she is fantastic.

BUT there's only one extension now (and has been for quite a few years  LOL).  It's the automatic 6 month till October.  The IRS got tired of the second 2 month extension because the CPA's had to list a reason and too often it was "I'm too fucking busy fucking PYT to prepare the fucking client's return".

And I'd add in your extension "The taxpayer is out of the country in Costa Rica drinking and fucking and hasn't had time yet to put together anything plausible to file".

And who the fuck would use a woman CPA?  Perhaps this is your CPA

She takes care of things so well I don't have to pay attention to details like filing extensions.

and no, my CPA is quite a bit older and much, much darker

but yes, those sound like very plausible excuses to me.

And if she's over 60 I'd tick that up to a 10.

Speaking for myself...I am covered, in terms of having an insurance policy and ALWAYS using condoms. However...I do not exactly feel 'covered' by my insurance policy. Not that I was any more 'covered' with my 'bare bones' plan that got cancelled...but at least, I was getting my minimal services for a minimal amount.

I wouldn't mind so much if it were still cheap...but my rates went up 100%...literally. So I feel that with the rate hike...shouldn't I at least be able to use this plan ??? Well, that is not the case.

How can something be 'covered' if I still owe 50% co-insurance for treatment?

It's so enormously complicated that we need a computer to handle all the exceptions,  rules,  etc.  Keeping track of things like receipts is a time consuming thing too,  last year I had a whole box full.  

wish they just tax more on goods and online services too,  and screw income tax.  Or at least simplify it drastically... But then our cpa in Chicago might be out of a job in that case.  lol

I'm good with that as well.  Tax work is so mundane overall.  And was never a big part of what I do.

I'm thinking of bringing in this gal to help with doing those extensions anyhow.  Maybe I can convince GaG to switch firms?

I've never had a provider suggest, imply or even refer to a bbfs. I suppose I've been lucky, or perhaps I've made good choices in providers.

My CPA and the government already have their check. I remember in my youth looking forward to tax time and getting a check, now it's just another damn bill. Oh well, I'm fortunate to have what I have, so these are things I must do.
